A praise.
I posted on yesterday’s thread that I got my driver’s license. Five years.
You may be tired of my harping on this, but you can’t imagine how it has been on my mind for about three months now.
I was going to post a prayer before I left this morning, but I did my own praying.
I suppose when you are almost 19, you are no long The Baby Girl (although you will always be the Baby Girl in your mother’s heart).
There is some drama today with The Girl. I got a call from Nana (ex mother in law) this morning. She had two issues she needed me to handle. It seems The Girl has been misleading us all. She hasn’t shown up or called in on any of her community service. Her time is up. After I spoke with the coordinator he has graciously agreed to extend her time to August 15th. It seems that spending time with her boyfriend is more important than staying out of trouble.
Her dad and I have both agreed we are not paying her way out of this.
Mumsee, go throw eggs or rocks at trees
A good scream or yell can help. Take a drive to the end of the driveway and let it all out with the windows rolled up
Praying for you Mumsee…when I am in my worst cranky moods…I go for a walk…alone…but then we are never alone…and that is when I try to listen to Him…as I walk. When we lived in town and I had my gardens….I worked the dirt…and tended to my plants…. ❤
Thank You for Your availability. Everyday You are there when the floodgates open, and the needs rush into Your ears through desperate prayers. I ponder and realize I have so little understanding of You and Your utter greatness. All I can do is offer praise and acknowledgement of how You are sovereign, and You are so much in the know, and utilizing all forms of power, some probably yet to be comprehended by the ones who claim to be smartest among us.
It is to You, our great God beyond our comprehension, that I offer up intercession for each of the needs mentioned on this prayer thread lately. You are able to make improvements and solutions to each type of trouble situation. Sometimes our focus is on the young in our lives as they go astray, other times it is the health problems of ourselves or dear loved ones, other times financial burdens weary us, You know each concern and distress. Please infuse all who are bowed low with these various weights with Your love, peace, hope, and joy. May Jesus give rest, lighten loads, and bring harmony among families (and help our inconsistent moods).
Thank You for all the ways You work without ceasing to help us through these difficult and, at times, scary days. Please help our enemies, known and unknown to us, to search their hearts and find Your love to abide in. I pray safety and peace to be found replacing violence and unrest wherever struggles are occurring in our world. Please keep everyone safe during the political convention, especially all who work to keep others safe.
I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
Mumsee my heart has been thonking of you today.
It seems that the stimulator is not working for Mr P. He says he is in a lot of pain. He goes back to the pain clinic tomorrow.
But I suspect, other than an incredibly trying few weeks with daughter, and seventeen’s attempts to get into alcohol lately, and and and, perhaps the biggest problem is that I am reading Uncle Tom’s Cabin.
And, husband misunderstood when they told him he would be home Friday. They meant next Friday. He was told it would be one week on and one week off. He is headed back to Denver.
A praise.

First and Third Arrows traveled to Second Arrow’s area today to help her move. Prayers for safety on the road appreciated.

Don’t be cranky, Mumsee.
It ruins your day as much at it does to others.

Jesus loves you, Mumsee. And so do we. Even when you’re cranky. (I’m feeling kinda cranky myself, & I’m trying to shake myself out of it.)

I am never alone. Respite care is not in our support system. But I do garden and work with animals and such.

So sorry, Mumsee. No wonder you’re cranky. I don’t blame you.
