“Heart rate and other problems I mentioned above seem to be back to normal tonight. Thank you for prayers.
“I’m not sure how many will see this, but I’d appreciate prayers for my performance Saturday night. I’m hoping to avoid nervousness, and play to the best of the ability God’s given me. If I’m nervous, my hands shake, and it’s very difficult to get a good sound that way if the shake is excessive.
“I won’t be on the blog the rest of the week, so if any of you who do see this would like to remind the others to pray, I would sure appreciate that. 🙂 Thank you.”
Lee has been offered the job, but he’s not sure if he should take it. The guarantee, which is more than we originally thought, would be about what he is making now, but of course we don’t know if the commission would bring his pay above that or not. The drive to the “depot” is about an hour, & then his route would be a trek, too. He hasn’t given an answer yet, but needs to do so probably within the next couple days.
More prayers for wisdom & direction, please. (And thank you.)
(There is a possible fly in the ointment. He signed an agreement with his current company not to work for another bakery for two months after leaving. But the new company is strictly bread products, whereas Diana’s has actual bakery products like cakes & cookies, too, so we don’t know if it would apply to this.)
Lee went to bed still not knowing what he will do, & feeling down about it. The pros & cons of the job he has vs. the offered job (as much as we know about it) are almost a wash. One thing he does know is that travel to & from work will double from what he travels now.
We prayed that he will awaken with a firm idea of which direction to go, as he needs to give the guy an answer sometime tomorrow.
My policy has been “never move unless it’s up”.
Or unless it looks like the president situation will slip.
All sorts of situations, but you should gain something from a move.
Kim, for instance would benefit from a parallel move with a better “guy”.
That’s generally what we would think, too. But the new position has the possibility of being much better than what he has now. It’s the not knowing if it would pan out or not that is the problem. He had been encouraged by a couple guys he’s previously worked with to apply there.

If it were a wash, I would stick with what I have.
