Prayer Requests 5-3-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 19

¹The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of theLord is sure, making wise the simple.

The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of theLord are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

  1. I had a talk with BG last night. She really liked talking to the councelor she saw when see was doing the drug education class. I am going to see if I can get a private appointment with her. We also talked about her taking herself off the anti-depressant. We are going to see if there is a different one she can take.
I also called her father. He is going to take her out to dinner this week and have a chat with her. I ended up giving him a pep talk. He is not the dad/granddad to his wife’s 6 year old grandson that lives with them. He said he never saw himself doing this. Buck up G. It’s life and he is lucky to have you. The world is different now. I told him he was getting to experience having a little boy when all he had gotten to experience was having a little girl.

  2. My friend, Karen, has many health problems which I have mentioned here before. Her husband, David, has been sick all last week and found out today that he has pneumonia. He is the head doc at the VA’s outpatient PTSD clinic. Please pray for them. His patients need him to be there for them as you can imagine. He has never been this sick before. I feel sad about their troubles. I can’t help because I don’t want exposure so close to when Art is going to have his procedure. 😦

  3. Thank you for your prayers for Lee to not get this sickness. He seems to have weathered the virus pretty well. He felt very nauseous at various times yesterday during work, & was very tired, but did not have any throwing up or anything else. After a good night’s sleep, he feels back to normal today. Lucky him!

My back & stomach muscles are sore from throwing up so many times Saturday night. It hurts to laugh or cough. (But they are feeling better than they did yesterday). The nausea is pretty much gone, but I have to be careful in what I eat.

Emily thinks the reason Forrest was sick again Sunday night wasn’t the virus again, but because he ate some heavy food sooner than he should have. If it weren’t for the school’s rule, he could have gone to school on Monday & been fine.

  4. Three of the oldest four offspring went to visit the other of the four today, and may eventually be driving into the thunderstorm we’re having here now as they head back home (west, for 2.5 to 3 hours under normal conditions). Prayers for their safety tonight appreciated.
