  1. 😦 Doctor prescribed an antibiotic to finally end my sinus issues. Yearly physicals are no where near what they used to be.

🙂 Having access to doctors and medications when needed.

😦 Tax paperwork. Government forms. Making endless phone calls and going round and round.

🙂 Being able to read my bible and pray, thus keeping things in perspective.

  2. 🙂 Great visit with my sister

🙂 The best part was about an hour after we left – she texted “I miss you already” 🙂

🙂 Son’s future in-laws are really nice Godly people – they attend the church where our former pastor and his wife attend

😦 Lots of laundry to do today

😦 Keva got quite sick and we needed to take him to the vet while on the road – he’s still not himself so we need to follow up with his vet here at home

🙂 It’s so good to be home!

  3. Eight year old and I just planted thirty six tomato plants. They are in little grow tunnels or under milk cartons. If they live, we might get an early start on tomatoes. If not, I still have time to plant more seeds. Those seeds were from 1999 so I was surprised they did so well. But now I need to start some peppers. And get the spinach and kale out there. Busy busy. Fun fun. I do enjoy my life. And always, there is the Hope that is in us for eternity with Him Who gave us Life.

  4. My peppers and tomato seedlings survived our trip away – This is the first year of really attempting to grow everything from seed rather than purchasing plants to put in the garden. Nothing will go outside until at least May 20th though!

  5. Normally we would not be able to plant until June. Well, the warm direct in the garden things. We have had snow and frost until then and it is back again in mid August. But, I am working from last year when we had almost eight months of useable time and I did not use it. Mostly because I did almost no gardening last year due to husband’s illness.

  6. Kathaleena – Similar weather here. We’re having rain today, turning to snow tonight & in the morning, & high winds, “almost hurricane force” according a local weather guy.

  7. It was sunny and 73 today. Our summers are brutal, but I love our mild winters.

Got to see my sister, though the visit was much too brief.

Mom’s mobility continues to decline due to severe spinal stenosis and neuropathy in her feet. If she passes stress test, she’ll have back surgery in late April.

Sister told my mom the other night that they plan to stay in Kenya indefinitely. Mom is hurt and angry about their decision–she feels abandoned in her old age. They used to live about twenty minutes away from each other….

  8. 🙂 My husband and I had a couple times this week of a few hours with both girls gone. (When one child works night and sleeps days and the other works part-time, days, it’s rare to have both gone.)

🙂 Several trips planned over the next few months. Most are for just a day or two, but two are for a week.

    🙂 Spring is here!

😦 Spring in the Midwest, that is . . . last night was our first of four days in a row of lows in the twenties, which may not be good for all the sprouting things.

🙂 So far all the vegetation seems to be holding its own and surviving.

😦 I’ve been working hard, at my husband’s request, deleting the equivalent of about 30,000 photos from my computer. (Don’t worry, I’m not throwing away irreplaceable ones, just weak ones or virtual duplicates.)

🙂 That does give me a good excuse to take time to sort photos, which I’ve been needing to do, but it has been hard to justify the time needed to do it.

🙂 I also keep seeing good photos I forgot I took.

🙂 We had an excellent Sunday, church service, and meal afterward. Our guests were asked to stay, and did. Most of what I took got eaten (enough to show it was a hit, but with just enough left to show I took the right amount). Since it was easy and cheap, and I have more in the freezer, it just might show up again next month . . .

  9. 😦 Just heard our friend’s sister-in-law died in an accident and his brother is hospitalized. This is the family who already has lost three children and also had another son hospitalized after a terrible accident. He has numerous health issues. Their daughter battled stage 4 cancer this last winter. She has had wonderful test results and praises God for it. These friends are in AZ and the accident was here in MN. Please pray for peace, wisdom, safe travel and whatever else they will need to hold them up.

😦 People who put things out on fb, which are so upsetting to hear with few details and with the possibility of being misunderstood. No one can know that all family members have already heard when an incident is hours old!
