Prayer Requests 4-1-16

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Anyone else?

Psalm 142

¹I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication.

I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

  1. Oh no, that’s an awful feeling — I once had my purse stolen out of my car. I’d tucked it under the seat when I was at the Redondo dog park doing interviews for a story several years ago … When I got back, the passenger side window had been smashed and the purse — gone.

Apparently that had been happening a lot there, someone was watching as people arrived and could tell they were leaving things in the car in the dirt lot which was pretty remote to the actual park.

Just such a hassle to report and then replace everything.

  2. Stepmom lost her purse the other day. She only goes out when daughter or dad take her some place. The beauty parlor, lunch, doctor appts. This time it was lunch with daughter. The immediate thoughts went to daughter after her dishonesty of last week. They searched and searched and got out a new purse for her. Then my dad looked into her (stepmom’s) personal file cabinet and found it pushed into a corner. I think she thought daughter would steal it and hid it in there only to forget about it. Stepmom thinks it was daughter and daughter thinks it was dad and he forgot about it. My dad thinks her dishonesty is a thing of the past (my dad is not a believer) and stepmom thinks she needs to leave (stepmom is a Christian of only fifteen years). My dad knows they have had a good thing with daughter there or they would have had to move into assisted living which neither of them want. Stepmom has always resented the extra person in the house and dad continually reminds her that she does not want to move, it was her decision to stay. So, that will probably be resolved this week. Prayer for wisdom for all parties and that my dad will see what I have always told him: Christians are sinners in need of a Savior. He has often used Christians bad behaviour to put off God. Thanks.
