Prayer Requests 3-26-16

Anyone have something to share?

Matthew 27:62-66

62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,

63 Saying, Sir, we remember that the deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.

65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

  1. These verses were the sermon text at our Good Friday services yesterday.

Prayer request: My husband is on the road today, traveling approximately 400 miles in areas predicted to have rain, snow, and a mix. He’s driving a good vehicle for conditions like that.

    Thanks for your prayers.

  2. Amen.

I am beginning to hear from fourteen year old’s teachers. They have noticed he is faltering. It started right on time, about three weeks ago. He seems to be able to last six weeks and then drops it. They still show him carrying a 3.5 but with his grades, that won’t stay long. His teachers give time to do the work in class but he prefers to play so he is spending his break doing schoolwork. Prayer for wisdom on how to help him. Thanks.

  3. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for good transportation that keeps people safe in treacherous environments. Please keep 6 Arrows” husband safe throughout his traveling. Please do not let other vehicles lose traction and run into him. I pray for good visibility and no road hazards such as fallen trees and power lines. Please keep him calm and steady at the steering wheel with all parts of his vehicle responding properly. Thank you for taking good care of him.

Lotd, I pray that You are meeting the needs of Kbells this weekend. Please give her relief and also the good help she needs. May she find You to be her ready help as trouble persists.

I lift up the young man Mumsee mentioned who needs a big dose of stick-to-it- power so he is able to get done what needs doing. Please show them how to help him overcome his obstacles to finishing well.

Lord, I pray for all those dealing in some form with getting tax work done or trying to understand what needs to be given to the IRS to satisfy their harassing letters of demand. Please help Art to get through all the work by the 15th that must be done and to file extensions as needed.

Please help my brother’s face to heal with minimal scarring. And may he be able to find work soon.

Please help me to stay on task with my current writing project. And please help me in deciding who I should send a proposal to.

Thank You that You are working to remedy all the needs and requests for help. There are many others as You know so well. Please meet the needs of all mentioned and unmentioned needs of this blog family. Also, please keep all places of worship and gatherings of people safe from any acts of terrorism or violence. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  4. Emily is sure that the letter was indeed from the IRS. Would a scammer keep her on hold for 45 minutes, then be rude, & only have her send in some tax form? 🙂

I still need prayer for this stomach thing. It seems to be some weird virus (also feeling quite achy elsewhere).

  5. Praying, Mumsee, Janice, KBells and Karen.

Thank you for all the prayers. Hubby made it back home safely, and never had any worse weather than ordinary rain on the journey. Now he’s on the road again — 😉 — but only locally with our two sons. Washing the Suburban, going to a home improvement store, just doing guy things. The three of them don’t often have opportunity like this to go places together — it makes me smile that today they can. 🙂
