Prayer Requests 3-14-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 124

¹If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say;

If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

  1. Amen.

I spoke with Carol last night, her potassium & sodium levels (again) were too low so she’s getting an IV for that and remains in the hospital. So continued prayer that they can find a way to stabilize that better and that she won’t be there for long.

Meanwhile, her boyfriend proposed to her, which was so sweet — they’re both in very bad shape physically so I doubt it will ever come to pass (and I’m not sure it’s a great idea anyway, to be honest), but I was happy for her, just that fact that he did that really lifted her spirits. They rarely get to see each other, but talk on the phone several times a day.

  2. God never wastes a thing; I’m starting to see what the “real” issue has been the last three weeks and, no surprise, it’s ugly.

When are we free from sin and live perfect lives, again?

    🙂

  3. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for how You are weaving good into days on this sin sick earth. We are part of Your fallen creation and only through Christ can we know victory against sin and death. Thank You that You allow the righteousness of Christ to cover us and make us worthy of being Your adopted children. Thank You for all my Brothers and Sisters in Christ here. Each is so precious with their personalities and concerns. You made them to be delightful and contagious Christians.

I lift up Kbells for good rest and relief from chronic pain. Please help the pain to slip away. Please bless the rest of her family and I ask that they will be thoughtful and caring in her times of need.

Please help Nancy Jill as she struggles with long hours on her feet. I pray for remedies that will be fair from both the employee’s and the employer’s viewpoint. Please help Nancyjill, also, with adjusting to the change her husband desires as he plans to retire. May it become a time of enjoyment for her and her husband as they find time to experience more of life together. Please help her neighbor/employer with trust which is so difficult to be rebuilt once shattered.

I ask, Lord, for Karen O to continue to keep Your peace as she engages with difficult people on Facebook. May the watching lurkers hear about Your goodness and want to see it for themselves in the Bible. Thank You for all forms of communicating the Good News each day. Help us to never overlook the lessons You make available in how to live according to Your word.

Please bless Wesley’s presentation tomorrow and on Thursday. I ask that You keep him steady on his feet while he gives an informative talk. May all find favor with his subject and delivery of his talk.

Please help all of us to try and make the world a better place each day for the benefit of others as well as ourselves. Thank You again for hearing our oft repeated cares and desires. I pray each matches Your concerns and Your will. Please conform each of us to be like Jesus in heart, mind, and strength, able to carry forward Your plans. In Jesus’ name, Amen
