Prayer Requests 1-13-16

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia, and for Ajisuun as well.

Anyone else?

Psalm 64

¹Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:

Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:

That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?

They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.

But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.

So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

10 The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

  1. Emily is having a tough morning, resulting in getting to work late, & she seemed quite frustrated. Praying for God to minister to her in some special way today, drawing her to Himself.

  2. Two eighteen year olds had to leave at 4:45 this morning as one of them has a job interview at 8:30 some distance away. Prayer for safety as they drive and the interview and interview selectee goes in the way God wants it. He knows the heart and capabilities of eighteen year old. Thanks.

  3. Praise, Carol was discharged from the hospital late yesterday and now is in a rehab for a few days. They finally decided the plummeting potassium was due to the Lasix she’s been on so it should be easy to make that go away (we hope).

She still doesn’t know if she has a heart condition or not. I have no idea how she doesn’t ask doctors for more basic information, but she doesn’t. She said it might be written somewhere in her discharge papers so I said be sure to read through all that so you know.

Pray for her comfort in the new place, she said the beds are very small (she’s tall and very large) and she’s sharing a room with 3 others. I hate those places and hope she won’t have to be there for long. 😦

  4. Oh Lord,
What have we Christians of the United States done to deserve our President? Give us wisdom to figure it out. Guide us your answers and give us the ways to respond. We ask for your will to be done.

We pray in Jesus Name, Amen.

  5. They’re keeping Carol in the rehab – nursing place for a few weeks now as they will also do some pt on that shoulder she dislocated some weeks ago — that’s good as she really had very little movement in that arm after they put it back into place, but I’m sorry she’ll have to be there a while.
