Going into tax season always is a downer for me. Please pray that I will get over that feeling quickly this year. It is like a gloom descends and tries to settle and I have to keep pushing it away with higher thoughts about God. It is a battle, and although I know the winner, it can be a struggle to get there. I just wanna snap out of it like a boxer in the ring who knocks out the opponent in the first round.
Thank you for your prayers.
Prayers also, for husband, as his pain level continues to increase. He is lined up for his next infusion in March so he has a couple of months to go. He is keeping much more active though, and that should be good. Today he is off to men’s prayer breakfast, though I hear there is more eating than prayer. He was up early fixing the sausage gravy. The boys will be fixing the biscuits and eggs and such. Sometimes I think he does too much but if it helps him get his mind off the pain, that is good, Thanks.
First responders are on my mind this morning. We have several connected and in this group here. We’ve had several collisions in the last week in which children have been severely injured and killed and I think that must be one of the worst scenarios for a first responder. Let’s pray for them today, as well.
I’m using “The Christian in Complete Armour (Wm. Gurnall) / Daily Readings in Spiritual Warfare” again this year, along with Tripp’s New Morning Mercies (also again — it was hit and miss with both of those resources last year so I figure there are plenty of “new to me” passages I missed the first time around).
Possibly tough week ahead, with some extra babysitting, & some financial matters Lee & I need to go over. Shouldn’t be too bad, but prayers for me to keep my emotional & mental equilibrium appreciated.

This looks like an excellent Bible study for women:
