Prayer Requests 1-5-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 57

¹Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.

They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.

My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.

10 For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

  1. Praise: Carol got ‘home’ from the hospital last night and it’s amazing how much better she is — I talked to her on the phone and she sounds like herself for the first time in 2 months; no speech slurring, she talks normal and fast again, seems bright.

She said people in the dining room at her residence were remarking on it too, told her she wasn’t so bent over and slouched anymore (her head hung way low along with her slow speech and movements these past several weeks).

I’m so thankful she’s OK. I really thought she’d had some kind of stroke or brain thing happen and she’d never be back to “her” ‘normal.’

  2. Please don’t forget BG in your prayers. I had a long talk with Nana today about not letting her get one over on her. I have taken away her debit card (to her own bank account) and have her operating on a cash only system. Nana has money to give her as needed and at her discretion.
Today she cleaned the house and my truck. She has a lot more work to do to make up for what she has done.
