Prayer Requests 11-6-15

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the young folks at The Nest.

Anyone else?

Psalm 5

¹Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.

Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

  1. Good morning. Please pray for my mom, Patsy. I am in Bandera. I’ve been here since Tuesday. My mom is sick. We are headed to Kerrville in about thirty minutes for various tests. Doctors are worried because her bloodwork is very off. They are checking for lung cancer, tumor on pituitary, alcohol varices in esophagus, and something else.,.. They’re fairly sure she’s bleeding internally because she’s extremely anemic and there was significant blood in her stool sample.

  2. Oh Ann. Hard emotions to handle. Just remember that you are the Adult Daughter of an Alcoholic Mother –which carries a whole different set of luggage. Praying. Remember, you are entitled to feel the way you feel–NO Guilt!

I on the other hand am the mother of a daughter in trouble. Last night she cried, she is depressed, I have alienated her from all of her friends—It’s ALL MY fault. I explained to her that she was likely going through withdrawal symptoms. Oh you wouldn’t believe the rant that statement caused. I explained that anything you put into your body whether it is drugs, coffee, wine, chocolate, or whatever–when you remove it, it causes withdrawal. I tried to hold her and let her cry. She is painfully thin. Unfortunately I said something to her about it yesterday and in her mind I told her she looked awful and she needed to eat—well she does!

The only person I have to turn to is my ex mother in law. Yesterday BG spent the afternoon with her. They have plans for this afternoon. If offered to take BG and the boyfriend to dinner tonight. She had the nerve to ask me if he could come over and they could hang out in her bedroom! Ummmm, NO. He is welcome to come over, but it will be supervised. I don’t need you smoking pot when I am trying to get you through the trouble you are already in.

I guess today I need to be selfish and ask for the prayers for me. I don’t know what to do.

  3. Pray for Carol’s health, she hasn’t been feeling well for a week now. We were scheduled to do some errands tomorrow but she called and said she’s still too tired and not well, hasn’t been eating. I know there is a stomach bug going around, but it shouldn’t last a full week.

  4. The mighty hunters are off. Prayer for wisdom and safety and good talk. Husband plans to address eighteen year old’s failing grades. His job right now is to do as well as he can in school. The failing grades are due to not turning in anything. He can do better. Does he get the boot? We will see.

  5. Heavenly Father,

Thank You that Jesus’ outstretched arms upon the cross reached all around the world to cover us all with Your love in such a tremendous way. Only You could know the extent of troubles we would face and what it would require to get us through them. Thank You for the ultimate provision to lift us above this fallen world.

All the people and situations on this blog prayer thread are known to You. You know all the details down to number of hairs on heads. I ask that You would infuse extra special love and healing in each person mentioned and for those who are interceding. Please. Save the lost, those hurting themselves because they have been blinded by glitter the world offers. You offer true treasure, soul deep instead of an outward sprinkling of false sparkles. Help us as we are struggling through so much. Some days it feels like we are swimming in mud in this world full of corruption. Please keep up continually aware of Jesus and the constant flow of His revitalizing spiritually cleansing blood that sets us apart.

I praise You in all things, even these things mentioned on this prayer thread because only You can overcome.

I love You. I praise You for how You are working to improve each asked for HELP. Thank You for doing more than we can think or imagine. In Jesus’ name, Amen
