2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,

7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Prayer for a friend from church, B, who has been in Atlanta for several weeks now helping out her sister who had a stroke (and sister’s husband is on hospice). Friend has asked for prayer for her sister’s strength, healing & salvation.
Mama’s disease is about to get really horrible or she could go quickly of a stroke. I am praying for the second. I see nothing good coming from a slow rotting death. I want to ask people to please stop praying for “healing” or “that she gets better” or “stays with us a little longer”, but they will think badly of me.
No one can judge you KBells until they have walked in your shoes. Ask them to pray for “peace” ask them to pray for “God’s will to be done”. Remind a few that sometimes people are only healed after death.
I think there are more of us out here experienced with Alzhiemer’s and dementia than you think and that more of us will understand than you think will.
kBells – I understand. My MIL, who also had Alzheimer’s Disease, had a long, slow decline. We took care of her as long as we possibly could, but were able to put her in a nursing home for the last of it. I am so sorry you don’t have that option, & will pray for a quick & peaceful passing.

What’s hard, though, is to accept that God has his purposes for it all — quick deaths, slow deaths, all.
I much prefer quick for myself and older or suffering loved ones.

Thank you for all the prayers for us as we’re mourning the loss of my father-in-law. They are comforting to us.
I have read/prayed through the prayer requests since I was last here. May the Lord bring comfort in all the trials mentioned and unmentioned.
