Prayer Requests 10-23-15

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the young folks at The Nest.

Anyone else?

Psalm 143

¹Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.

And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

11 Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.

12 And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.

  1. I understand. Sometimes I have to let go and wait. Usually by the time they get what I once thought they deserved, I can actually feel sorry for them that it happened or at least no longer care.
Time heals all wounds and wounds all heels….but mostly it heals all wounds.

  2. Catching up with prayer requests. It was way too lovely outside to be inside much yesterday. That, and the fact that we need to finish certain outdoor chores kept us out a good part of the day. The day before we visited my mom. While she is only a bit over an hour away, it usually ends up being an all day thing. We try to visit businesses we do not have near u

Karen, have you had your thyroid checked recently? Your symptoms are similar to those. I know the symptoms are similar to many diseases, which makes it difficult to track down. Glad the sale went through. Most of us can look back and see mistakes we made. Dave Ramsey talks about our financial ones costing us a ‘stupid’ tax. No one goes unscathed, I suspect.

Prayers for all the others, too.

  3. Michelle, Kim, RKessler, I have a hard time letting go of some things, too. Prayers today.

For you, too, Mumsee, whatever you are facing. The Lord knows. May He grant grace and peace.

Prayers for 1st Arrow as he travels to Missouri with one of his uncles to visit another uncle of his whose birthday it is today. Son left this morning, but would still be on the road at this point. Thanks.

  4. Kathaleena – No, I haven’t had my thyroid checked, but I will ask about that next time I go to the doctor. I’ve looked at lists of symptoms for both hyperthyroidism & hypothyroidism, & don’t seem to fit in either one. But it is worth checking out, nonetheless.

  5. Heavenly Father,

Please help Mumsee with her many needs. Life gets complex under normal family circumstances, but the Nest is even more complicated with the various backgrounds and personalities that have to mesh and hopefully bond as a family uniquely made by You. Only You know all the specific needs. An emergency call out for Your help is being sent Your way for action as quickly as possible. Please, whatever the need, make Your divine guidance and solution known soon.

For those among us who are suffering emotional pain because of mistreatment, I pray that You will inject grace and mercy into the relationships that need repair. Hurt feelings can fester and cloud a person’s life so all relationships suffer. Please give relief so the hurt is replaced by compassion or better understanding or by whatever feeling You deem best. Thank You for Your help.

Please give safety in travel for my son and other young family members of the blog posters here. I pray Michelle’s son is much betyer so he can fully enjoy his vacation with fsmily.

Please help all here who struggle with financial obligations. May those needing employment be blessed with fruitful interviews and helpful networking.

Thank You that Art is doing okay with meds. Thank You for his good doctors. Please bless them with good health as they help others ger well or at least better.

I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  6. It must be the day to let go and not let it fester….I have been fighting something ever since I arrived at work this morning and was told something by the gal I work for….being spoken of behind my back is hard for me to deal with and even harder is for me to forgive and understand the one who was doing the talking….praying right along with ya’ll….let it go..let it go….and give it to HIM ❤
