  1. Since The Scarecrow has pulled out, the only remaining questions are:
    1. Will the Republicans really nominate The Wizard?
    2. Can they defeat the Wicked Witch?

  2. Told you Clinton and Obama were running weapons in Libya…….. and in violation of UN sanctions.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/oct/20/hillary-clinton-state-department-approved-us-weapo/

“The State Department initially approved a weapons shipment from a California company to Libyans seeking to oust Moammar Gadhafi in 2011 even though a United Nations arms ban was in place, according to memos recovered from the burned-out compound in Benghazi.

The documents, obtained by The Washington Times, show U.S. diplomats at the Benghazi compound were keeping track of several potential U.S.-sanctioned shipments to allies, one or more of which were destined for the Transitional National Council, the Libyan movement that was seeking to oust Gadhafi and form a new government.”

“Dolarian Capital, part of a small network of U.S. arms merchants that has worked with U.S. intelligence, confirmed one of its licensing requests to ship weapons via Kuwait to Libya was approved by the State Department in spring 2011 and then inexplicably revoked before the armaments were sent.”

  3. “The Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol predicted Thursday that Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina will eventually lead the Republican ticket, and that Donald Trump would fade. …”

We’ll see. They’ve said that before. Weird year, it’s taking a long time to shake out into anything even remotely predictable on the GOP side which feels like it’s still in such disarray — and not very unified, to say the least.

Now everyone will be jumping all over Ryan. It really does feel like Washington is just broken right now.

Meanwhile, the disaster that has been the Obama presidency (and 2 terms!? Really?? What were people thinking?) can’t be overstated. But I’ve said that before. 😦 😦 Now we have to live with that.

  4. What does she know about foreign policy? Call be a skeptic, but we really need someone in these positions who is familiar with the issues. OTOH, maybe it won’t matter any more . . . .

  5. I know michelle, seems all not to matter at this point. Meanwhile, Hillary is getting lots of sympathy today from what I’m seeing & hearing.

Really hoping there is some serious thought that can now be given to 2016 now that it’s (pretty) clear that Clinton will be *the* nominee.

  6. She appears to be a quick study. She and Rubio are the only ones who come off like they know what they are talking about no matter what you ask them. Trump and Carson seem to be doing a lot of winging it.The others have their one or two obsessions but change with the wind on everything else.

  7. She knew she had to deliver today — without showing any irritation — so that’s what she did. I know it was probably grueling, but the people at work lamenting about what she was being put through need to also remember that it pales in comparison to what some of her days would be like as president.

I tend not to feel too sorry for people who run for that job (on either side), they know what they’re getting into and it’s their choice. They’re not being drafted against their will.
