There is a long article in this week’s Washington Times that says “The Clinton White House suppressed evidence of Iran’s terrorism”. It says that evidence existed, at the time, that Iran was behind the Khobar Towers bombing in 1996. They wanted to improve relations with the new Khatami regime, which was supposed to be more moderate.
