Prayer Requests 10-15-15

It’s Thursday, so please remember to pray for Jo, her students, and the rest of the people in PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 135:1-5

¹Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, O ye servants of the Lord.

Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.

Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

  1. Tomorrow is Sports Day at the Primary School. For some of the children this is the most exciting day of the year. There are both individual and team events, so everyone goes home with plenty of ribbons.
Prayers for safety and encouragement appreciated. We note the children who are cheering for others and give awards for sportmanship at the end of the day.
Everyone takes a break when we have the kinder events as we only compete with each other.
I will be taking lots of pictures.

  2. Sooo….apparently, according to the teacher who called me, fourteen year old boy and his buddy held down a younger boy at school and made fourteen year old girl kiss him. This is a very small school, there was a teacher at recess and an aide. They did not see it happen but one of the children told them. The children only have about twelve minutes at recess. I warned the school personnel and I told them they were fast. What to do now? Prayer for wisdom please. Proverbs 19:18 was in my morning reading today. I don’t know what your version says, but mine is something along the lines of “Discipline your son while there is hope, do not desire his death.” Prayer for wisdom and patience.

  3. Prayers from me, mumsee, for wisdom for all. Sounds like some adults had to have some experience to ‘get it.’ Prayers for those children terrorized too. 😦

I hope the school personal will deal with it wisely. We just had a grandson who was spit in the face on the school bus. The school bus driver seemed helpless, but the teacher seemed wise in her response when my daughter emailed her.

Michelle, I would love to see your notes, also. I think you have my email address.

  4. And the school’s response? He is having “detention” lunch with the superintendent. His dream come true. He likes nothing more than the individual attention of an adult male. Our response? A little different because he broke our rule of not talking with her or interacting with her. No football or basketball for him. And because she knew better, her basketball days are over. Too much freedom in those two situations. And the town reaction? Well, that is what kids do! Tee hee.

  5. Prayers for us to get through this hectic week. I am told by co-worker that husband is over doing it and I need to put my foot down. I need to limit his work hours here. Well, I never have had any luck in telling men what they can do and not do. It is just a guilt trip. I feel I have to drive him so he wan’t be stressed by traffic, etc. so I have to stay here since it is a distance from our home. Well, I don’t even know exactly what needs to be prayed for at this point, just know prayer does ease things and will help us through. Thank you. Next week we start back in on the doctor appointments routine.

  6. We came home early. The other ladies told him he had to leave. One is a former nurse and the other can be part bulldog when she wants to. They finished up with a big client. Husband discovered another way the government is ripping off taxpayers under certain circumstances. If he wasn’t so smart he would not have so much to get sick over! Thanks for praying. It helped get us home safely.
