Melissa’s husband posted this late last night: Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement Melissa did have a procedure today and the doctor has told us that they were able to remove the clot. They have her scheduled for a follow up MRI on Wednesday to make sure they removed it all and to assess how much damage there has been. At this time Melissa is struggling with her speech and movement on the right side of her body. Please pray that she will have strength to deal with the frustration she will face over the next few weeks and months as she learns how to do things over again. She has a long road of recovery ahead.
Today has been difficult. There may be a prospect on the horizon but I am so beat down and scared to try. Whine whine whine….
On the plus side everything is out of the old house. The house was cleaned today. $125!!!!!! 🙂
The landlord has someone he likes to keep clean the carpet so he is taking care of that and prorating the rent out of the deposit and then will settle up with us.
There are still boxes and boxes and boxes in the garage and perhaps a hundred or so pounds of laundry to do.
much prayer needed here. The drought continues and we are now restricting our water use.The pumps we rely on to pump river water to homes are failing.
A controversial issue is coming up for a community meeting on Monday.
Term 2 begins today.
The store is still closed until Friday for stocktake. Another reason I was glad to get to the nearby town yesterday.
Kim – Go for it! (The possible prospect, that is.) If you try, you’ll either get it or you won’t. If you don’t try, you won’t get it. It’s worth a shot.
Latest update on Melissa: Melissa had an MRI this afternoon and the doctor is very happy the blood flow is good and the clot is cleared. They can now take the line out of her leg that goes to her brain stem. Once this is out she will be able to sit up and begin to move around. We Kalvin, our boys and families are so thankful for all your prayers and support.
Husband is home and doing very well. He has to return on Thursday for an ecocardio and then we may learn more. Thanks for praying and continued prayer.
