Prayer Requests 10-5-15

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 125

¹They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

  1. Feeling down. It is so hard to find a way out the gate even to visit the town just a few miles away. Feeling rather invisible as I don’t have family here and am not part of the younger single “crowd”, as they call themselves. So I tried today and others said no to going to town tomorrow. Then as I was leaving school one gal said she would check with her husband. They are a temporary couple here for a few months. So we are planning on renting a truck and going in the morning for an hour or two.
HOWEVER, they want me to drive as they don’t have PNG licenses. I am a good driver, but driving to Kainantu is scary. and it is on the Highlands highway and people walk all over the road, etc. etc. Think very third world country. In all the years I have been here I have never driven to town. So, please pray for safety and for eyes to see all the hazards. Maybe that everyone will stay home tomorrow??

  2. Please pray for me. I was in a foul mood over the water meter situation. I just feel so out of control on all fronts. I try to be in an up mood to help keep a peaceful atmosphere for husband. I did let my bad mood flow out a while ago, and I could tell it was not good for Art. I suffer his bad moods a lot, but that makes me try to not let mine loose to make for double bad moods.

  3. Praying, Jo.

Praise report that FIL is getting out of the hospital this afternoon. Not sure of any other details other than that he’ll be going back to the nursing home, but we are glad he improved as quickly as he did and didn’t need a lengthy hospitalization.

  4. Praying for you, too, Janice. You’ve been under tremendous pressure. Give yourself grace for a very understandable reaction. May the Lord’s peace be with you.

  5. Janice – I agree with 6 Arrows. And I understand your feelings. I feel so bad when I let a bad mood of mine spill over, knowing Lee already has more than he can handle.

May God lift your spirit, & give you peace & comfort, as you go through these physical trials with your husband.

  6. We are back from the hospital, though husband had to stay. They are now saying he does have some pneumonia but they are really looking at potential congestive heart failure. I will go back again this evening if I can arrange the children. Thanks for praying.

  7. Phos, there is minor flooding here. If you don’t live near the French Broad River, nor some of the creeks, you don’t have a worry. Sun was out today. South Carolina is where the damage was done. They have long-term problems there. The news reports say that a section of I-95 is closed around Florence. This will be a major problem for North-South traffic.
I have an old friend who lives in Wilmington, NC. He and his family are OK.

  8. I’m back. Thanks so much for praying. Glad that I didn’t take my car, but rented a big old truck. As it was a Tuesday morning the streets weren’t quite as full of people. I drove there, parked and then we just walked to a couple of stores. I did not want to drive around town. Some very old lady in the store asked if the white haired gal I was with was my mom. She is only 5 years older than me, so I don’t think so!
