Prayer Requests 9-28-15

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 118:1-9

¹O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

Let them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

  1. Kim – I was praying something for Lee this morning, & you popped into my mind, so I prayed it for you, too. I prayed that God would bring you (& Lee) to a good job that you will excel at & find great satisfaction in, & will be well-paying enough.

  2. 6 arrows here. Feeling majorly behind today and paralyzed with inaction. Last week was so busy (one child’s birthday on Monday, several appointments, planned and unplanned, along with piano lessons on Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday I don’t remember what, and Friday, too tired to do much). Saturday I accomplished a good amount with household things, but no school happened at all last week, and that’s a rotten feeling when it was only the second week (or should have been) of school.

Second Arrow is home until tomorrow morning and I want to try to enjoy her visit without worrying about everything that’s still not getting done. A feeling of panic is rising in me, which causes me to chide myself.

Wisdom. Priorities. Peace. Pray as the Spirit leads you.

    Thank you.

  3. Prayers as we have to have a discussion this evening. Husband went to school today to consult the educators on their thoughts. Seventeen year old still refuses to pick up the ball, he won’t turn in assignments. They don’t know if he can because he won’t turn in the papers. So, he will be placed on permanent detention tomorrow. Hopefully, that means a teacher will be available. But he turns eighteen in nine days. Either he is doing schoolwork or he is paying rent, which means getting out and finding a job. The free ride comes to an end. This is one of our potentially angriest children with potential for much damage. So, prayer as this is laid out for him and he decides what he is going to do. Thanks.
