Prayer Requests 8-31-15

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 92

¹It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High:

To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.

For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:

But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore.

For, lo, thine enemies, O Lord, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.

12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

15 To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

  1. Prayer for two here, this morning, as they are driving from Moscow to Spokane to attend the funeral of their bio aunt. Chances are pretty high that their bio mom will be there. Other than a couple of sneaky texts from her several years ago, they have not had contact since the children were removed nearly twelve years ago. Son does not think one way or another about that but daughter has been adamant about not contacting her at all. This could be rather intense for her. Prayer for their hearts and wisdom on what to believe, and their focus to be there for their grandmother at the death of the aunt. Thanks.

  2. It has been a shaky couple of days with BG. I can best describe her as “fragile”. She has found out that a girl she thought was a friend (although ALL of us have told her she wasn’t) wasn’t really a friend at all. The Bad Boy has contacted her and is messing with her emotions.

I have recently remembered something that Mama Ruth told me a long time ago. They shouldn’t call it Puppy Love, It is the strongest emotion they have ever felt for someone else and they aren’t equipped to handle it. It is hard for Mama Bear to see Baby Bear hurting like she is. I have promised her that in 8 months this will all be behind her and she won’t have to see anyone she doesn’t want to see ever again. I have also told her that it doesn’t seem like it now, but with years the hurt will fade. I have offered a trip to a therapist. I have tried. It is beyond me what to do, but she is hurting.

Prayers for her and for me to know the next thing to say are appreciated.

  3. Mumsee. as you may remember I did not have contact with my mother from the time I was 18 until I saw her at a family wedding when I was 22. She walked up to me and I turned away. I never spoke to her again. (well once, but she didn’t know who I was) Whatever these two do it will be the right thing for them to do. Son may speak to her. Daughter may not. Any combination could happen. I will hold these two close for the next couple of days. They will be OK.

  4. Praying for you and yours. I know they will be okay, they love their family here and know they are loved. But daughter is extremely gullible and her bio family has a few users who are excellent at manipulating the gullible. People in prison like people outside of prison to pay for their stuff. Like outstanding fines that have to be paid before they are released. Generally, and especially with repeat offenders, I say let them take the time to pay it off themselves. She is more likely to say, “oh, but he told me he loved me and will pay it back and stick with the straight and narrow, and I believe him….”
