What’s interesting in the news today?

Since I’ve been hobbled the last couple of days I haven’t posted much news. Well that’s about to change.
It’s news dump time.
The red lines are the links.
1. It’s almost like they don’t want to defeat ISIS.
US blocks attempts by Arab allies to fly heavy weapons directly to Kurds to fight Islamic State
2. Oh, and Syria is probably getting ready to use it’s chemical weapons.
Syria may be a failed state at this point in all but name, but if this is the short term future they have in store the place is preparing to turn into a real world version of hell on Earth.
3. At least the Supreme Court got one decision right…
Supreme Court rules against EPA on pollution rules
4. That’s how you know these are the damaging emails.
State Department asserts privilege against Benghazi committee
5. Here we go again….
Feds predict surge of illegals, see another 127,000 this year
6. Yeah who didn’t see this coming.
It Begins: New Calls To Strip Churches of Tax Exempt Status After Same-Sex Marriage Ruling
7. The ACLU is all about protecting religious freedom, unless you’re a Christian.
RFRAs are great except when they protect Christians
8. The gun grabbers lose again.
Federal Judge Orders Plaintiffs to Pay Ammo Dealer’s Legal Fees After Dismissing Lawsuit
9. After the SC gay “marriage” decision, now what?
The Church Will Survive Gay Marriage if It Sticks to Its Guns
10. RedState provides another answer.
What Actually Comes Next
“1. It’s almost like they don’t want to defeat ISIS.”
I think Aj may be onto something.
#9. I see in today’s Times-News that the Episcopal church is going along with the Supreme Court decree.
It’s the law of the land.

What I’m confused about is whether Obama is Shia or Sunni. I suspect Valerie Jarrett is Shia. That’s what counts.

I can’t vouch for the source of this article, it’s one I don’t read and am not familiar with, so take it with a grain of salt. But interesting map of potential targets (and not really anything new from what was thought to be terrorists’ primary wishful U.S. before and all along):

We have really caught a couple of breaks in the last month.
First, in a well-choreographed rollout Organized Perversion presented “Ms.” Bruce Jenner in an effort to make transvestites the new favored minority group. Fortunately, the Rachel Dolezal story immediately broke, demonstrating to all that those claiming to be Trans-anything were either frauds or nuts or both.
Then following the Charleston tragedy, Obama, the Poverty Pimps and every prissy Republican universally attacked the Confederate flag, Robert E. Lee and all things Southern. Just when things were looking bad, the U.S. Supreme Court made the U.S. a fully homosexual nation. The result has been hilarious and encouraging. Many conservatives now understand that they have two choices. They can be pro-Southern and pro-secession or they can be pro-homosexual.

AJ here,
What’s a holiday weekend without a news dump? That’s when bad news always breaks, when it’s least likely to be reported or viewed.
The winners for this holiday weekend are economic in nature.
http://hotair.com/archives/2015/07/02/june-jobs-report-223k-added-but-432k-left-workforce-april-may-revised-down-60k/
“June jobs report: 223K added, but 432K left workforce, April-May revised down 60K; Update: Manufacturing, durable goods goes negative in May”
“If you like topline numbers, you’ll like the June jobs report, issued a day early because of the Independence Day headline. The US economy added 223,000 jobs in June, a respectable if unspectacular level of job growth that outpaces population growth, and the U-3 jobless rate dropped to 5.3%. It’s when one looks past the topline numbers that the problems emerge — chief among them the fact that almost twice as many people left the workforce as found jobs:
Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 223,000 in June, and the unemployment rate declined to 5.3 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Job gains occurred in professional and business services, health care, retail trade, financial activities, and in transportation and warehousing.
But …
The civilian labor force declined by 432,000 in June, following an increase of similar magnitude in May. The labor force participation rate declined by 0.3 percentage point to 62.6 percent in June. The employment-population ratio, at 59.3 percent, was essentially unchanged in June and has shown little movement thus far this year.
The new workforce participation rate is the lowest in the US since 1977. The reason that the U-3 measure dropped to 5.3% is because of the exodus from the workforce. On top of that, the BLS revised its job-growth estimates in April and May by a combined 60,000, making the entire spring look less robust than first thought — and it wasn’t that robust in the first place. The U-6 rate, considered a more complete look at unemployment, did fall to 10.5%, the lowest since July 2008.”

The Episcopal Church was lost long ago when it confirmed an openly gay man as a Bishop.
Those in the media would do well to look at the history of journalism, the first school to offer it and the first person who thought it was a good idea to have some standards in the field of telling the news.

Well, it’s not all about the flag or the confederate soldiers, but partly. Guys I interviewed said a lot of the stuff that Kim has said. 🙂
There’s a huge, multi-war re-enactment event coming the weekend after next in our area (they’ve been doing it for 29 years), but this year is especially big for the Civil War & WWII since it’s the 150th and 70th anniversaries, respectively, of the end of those wars.
But other folks will be recreating everything from the Roman Legion to Vietnam.
I needed a story for the weekend so decided to preview the gathering.

He wasn’t protesting Obama if you read the article. He was using his right to freedom of expression. He said he was their fro history not hate and he planned to protest the KKK rally in Charleston.
I was reading an article earlier and some else make the comment about poking a sleeping bear.
