Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 24
¹The earth is the Lord‘s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this day before us. It gives us hope each time we see the light of the new day that we will see more of Your blessings. We have a mixture of joy and drudgery in our days. Help any here who are down and feeling burned out. Please lift them up.
I ask for Your goodness to intervene in Kim’s situation. Of course she feels hurt. Who wouldn’t? Help her to know what to do to be bonded again to BG. And please help BG to make good choices in the people she picks for friends. 8nfuse their situation with love not out of obligation, but out ofrespect, shared joys, and like-minded belief in Jesus.
Please give Your best to Lee and Karen O. Help them through obstacles so they will have a good income from reasonable work. Again, I ask for salvation for Emily and Chissey. They are young and don’t quite see the light. Please make way for them to be drawn
to Jesus this day and week. Little by little let them draw closer and closer. Also, I ask that You would give an excellent solution for Forrest’s care.
I praise You, Father God, for all that Michelle accomplishes. Please continue to open up more opportunities. She has such great imagination. And help Donna as she struggles with her work atmoshere. May she be able to find sideline freelance work to help her in case the paper happened to go bye-bye. We never know when something previously secure will be shaken.
Thank You, Father God for good VBS programs who have knowledgement and stamina to keep up. I ask for salvations of children this summer.
Thank You for the wriying critique group You have led me to attend. The ladies are very helpful with refining my articles before submission. If it is Your will I pray to have some published and make income from freelancing.
Please help Donna as she is still processing Norma’s death. It can feel like such a loss when a person’s space on the pew is no longer blessed with their presence.
And, I lift up the many brokenhearted people throughout Charleston and the world who have been affected by the deaths of those nine saints. May they not have died in vain. May You turn evil to good and save us all from more such evil based on hatred because of a misunderstanding about skin color. Please bless our nation with a new bonding together of all believers in Jesus for those who persecute Christians worldwide are such a greater force than this one deranged young man. May we become a beautiful cord of many colors for our protection, for our helping the needy, and for our giving to You joy and glory
for all time. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

Yikes! My lack of sleep and bleary eyes really got to work on that prayer. Please forgive all those typos!

Thank you, Janice.
Stargazer is on the road as I type, moving home from NM. He’s driving 12 hours today in a rented van with all his belongings to LA where he will stay with relatives and spend the evening with my daughter. He drives the rest of the way, 7 hours, tomorrow.
He’s up here until he finds a job–which he’s been hunting for since April. 😦
Prayers for safety for this one, of course. Thanks.

Thanks Janice. We’re having a few more layoffs it seems, we lost a sports guy who’s been with the paper 30+ years (and who was giving a mere 6 weeks severance); along with a couple photographers at a sister paper and a former editor of ours, a stay-at-home mom who was on the books for just a few hours a week helping to edit our weekend copy. …
It’s the end of the fiscal year and the hedge fund that owns us can’t help themselves, I guess.

Praise that husband continues to do very well. He is doing a lot of walking without his cane. Going up and down the stairs to his aerie, about twenty five steps up and then down. He is driving again. Fixing meals. Frees me up to do a lot of the things I have been letting slide.

BG spent the night last night. She got to my house around 9. We all talked. I fixed something for her to eat. I told her we would have to go to the store and get some of the things she likes to eat. She said she wanted to come live with me but she didn’t want to leave Nana. I explained that Nana was Nana. She could see her any time she wanted. She decided she wanted to live with me.
This morning when my alarm went off at 6 am, Mr P was no where to be found. He came home a few minutes later. He had been to Wal Mart to get white bread, whole milk,. regular Coke, grape jelly, bacon, yogurt, and other things she had mentioned last night.
Of course today I have been a round or two with G.

We have severe thunderstorms with very strong winds coming our way (about 55,000 are out of power where they’ve already hit), along with a tornado watch until 11pm. Praying for safety, & that we don’t lose our power.

It was very sweet Karen. It made my heart swell. The two of them have been nice to each other. She moved more of her things into the house this afternoon. I had to move some things around to give her enough closet space between BG and Mr P and all their clothes I may have to just keep mine in the Xterra!!!!

The thunderstorm passed without incident for us, & the tornado watch is over. 🙂
