We are happy to report that Dr. Sproul is home from the hospital sooner than expected. The tests subsequent to the angioplasty in his cerebral artery confirm that the procedure was successful in mitigating the blockage. He will continue on the speech therapy and recovery plan begun before this latest hospital stay. We give thanks for God’s tender, providential care and the many prayers fervently offered on Dr. Sproul’s behalf.
Had a call from R a little while ago. He said he was going on a vacation for a while, but didn’t know when he’d be back. (I doubt he can really afford to go away anywhere.) He started to choke up, saying, “Please tell Emily I never meant to…” but then the crying in his voice covered up whatever he said. Then he quickly said “I’m sorry – I gotta go now,” as he started to cry harder.
Lee & I are praying against any temptation to take his own life, & that God would minister to him by His Holy Spirit.
Thank You for the faithful believers who join together here, united, in lifting up so many desperate needs. You hear every prayer whether spoken aloud, silently, or written. The needs are great and as time passes, it seems, the needs are compounding and escalating. Sometimes we don’t even know how we should pray except to ask that Your will be done. Sometimes we can’t put into words what presses so hard against people in the spiritual realm that causes anguish and despair. But You know the layers of hurt, the depths to which the evil, wickedness, and hatred infiltrate or try to infiltrate the lives of believers and their families. Tremendous spiritual warfare battles are fought each day which You see clearly, but we only feel and understand partially. Help us to be diligent to be in Your word, in prayer, and trying our best to remain fully committed to living up to Your standards rather than sinking into the fires of despair.
Lord, please let this breaking time for R be what brings him to find Jesus there for him in his pain. You know the plans You had for him and the new revised plans after his long detour. Please give him vision and recognition of Who he needs to live for rather than against. Being against You is really being against himself. Please help him to become strong in You.
Please, Lord, be with R Kessler’s daughter and SIL as they are suffering from harms done by the evil one in the spiritual realm. I pray for them to know peace, joy, and comfort that comes from You alone. There is no other source for anyone to go to for absolute truth. Please make truth shine brightly in their lives and overpower deceptions from the evil one.
Abba, I lift up Mike, AJ, Lee, Kare’s husband, my husband, and others I may not have mentioned who have various afflictions that cause them great pain and discomfort. I pray correct diagnosis and prescriptions, if needed, can take away symptoms because the basis of the affliction is truly addressed and removed.
Please make a way for treatment to be affordable in each situation.
Thank You, Abba, for the good news on Dr. Sproul. Please continue to strengthen him and help him back to perfect speech ability because it is so important for that type of ministry.
Lord, please bless Donna as she continues to do more than should be reasonably expected. Increase her strength and please help her to retain a good attitude when grumpiness rules the office atmosphere. Help her to continue to be an encouraging to those who daily suffer grief from criticism.
Please help Kim in all of her needs. Help her to focus on the good and to let go of what is out of her control for the immediate future. Show her new ways to express care and love as the seasons of life change. Help her to press on toward the good future and leave any unnecessary baggage behind.
Please let Your traveling mercies and protection be known to Nancyjill, Jo, Joanne, and any other of our young family members, like my son, who are traveling to and from schools. Please give good divine encounters and influences along the way. Please help Roscuro as she makes efforts to prepare again to do missionary work. Please give all provision so that happens.
i feel I have so much more that I should pray about, but time is limited. Please bless us all to overflowingso we can be a blessing to others.
