Prayer Requests 4-24-15

Today is Friday, so please remember to pray for everyone at The Nest.

Anyone else?

Psalm 121

¹I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

  1. Today, some of the boys will be trimming goat hooves. They have not done it as one of the sisters did it in the past. She was good at it. Pray for them as they attempt a new thing. Patience would help. Thanks.

  2. Still a little worried about Annie the cat — she’s much better than she was a couple days ago and she is eating and drinking, purring, mostly acting like herself.

But there does still seem to be a tenderness in her hind quarters and she protests when I touch with too much pressure back there. I’m wondering if something got hold of her back end (there’s a scab also on her back, but that seems to be getting better) and she escaped. Neighbor’s dog or new puppy (they let them run free sometimes)? I hope not Tess …

She still jumps up and down off of furniture OK, but moves more slowly and gingerly than usual.

I suppose I should take her in to the vet tomorrow morning first thing as a walk-in appointment. But I don’t think anything’s broken or actively getting worse … I’m hoping she’ll improve more by tonight. Otherwise, it’ll be blood work, X-rays, etc.

  3. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being the One Who always listens when we pray. Sometimes we surely sound like a broken record as we repeat some requests year after year, but Your word encourages persistence in prayer.

Lord, there are ones in our blog family who suffer from various pains and afflictions, some perhaps that must be considered like Paul’s torn in the flesh that just did not go away. If that is the case then I pray You will show Yourself to be strength in weakness in an encouraging way.

I pray for lost loved ones to be brought closer to salvation this day. You know what it will take. We do not want to lose hope in this area, but as the world seems to be plunging more and more into darkness, we see how important quick salvation is. Please do not delay, Lord. Our hearts ache over the lost who are under too much worldly influence.

Lord, I pray for all to go well with Mama Ruth’s party. May it be a spectacular event which will be so pleasing to her and all who attend. Bless and reward Kim’s generous effort, please.

Lord, I lift up Donna with all of her work struggles and having to deal with grumpy people at the office. Please help her to deal with the difficulties of declining health situations in lives she has long cared about. And, please, may Annie quickly get back to her chipper feelings. Ease away her discomfort and may she be strong as before.

I lift up all at the Nest for a special Friday blessing. Help the guys with the goat duties. May they all be safe, no injuries to boys or goats, please. Help Mike in his continuing recouperation. Thank You for for Mumsee and how she is like a supernatural glue that holds the nest together when the wind blows.

Please bless Peter and his family in their needs this week.

I ask Your blessing to be upon Michelle as she continues work on her book and other projects.

Please bless my friend, Karen, who waits to get testing on her enlarged para thyroid gland. Please, no cancer, Lord! She has been through so much.

I lift up Israel for blessings of peace and stabilty. Also in our nation, I pray the SCOTUS will vote in favor of the Marriage Amendment.
Finally, Lord, I pray for Wesley to finish this semester will good grades on his two twenty page papers due and that he will have a good job interview.

Thank You for meeting needs of those I have not mentioned. I pray in Jesus’ name,
    Amen

  4. Husband’s blood tests showed abnormal liver function tests. He is to have more bloodwork done as well as an abdominal ultrasound. Doctor suggested he drive a little further and get in sooner! Kinda scary.

  5. Heavenly Father

Please make for a good result on the liver function test for Kare’s husband. As they wait for testing and results may they rely on You for peace and courage to counter fear and anxiety. You are in control in all things. You made our bodies and all their systems. Please provide whatever is needed to set this system to function properly sgain. Or perhaps it was a false reading on a test? It happens and could be the case. Again, You are in control. Trusting in You, through Jesus, Amen
