It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for the folks in The Gambia.
Anyone else?
Psalm 113
¹Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.
2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.
3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.
4 The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.
5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,
6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.
9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.
Good morning! Praising God this morning for his provision! Just got a notice from my mission of another financial supporter that has joined my team! If my calculations are right, this puts me over the top. I have full support for the first time in over 4 years. But throughout those years, God still provided everything I needed and more!
Another hurdle I have is getting medical clearance. I didn’t think this would be an issue since I am better than I have been in years, but there’s a new doctor at the mission and he’s requiring me to jump through some more hoops before giving clearance. Pray that I hoop jump with a good attitude. I’m frustrated because he has made these additional demands but has never talked to me. He hasn’t even received my most current physical results yet. So doing the extra things with a good attitude is a challenge!
God is in control and his timing is perfect, so I choose to rest on that. Between grumbling about jumping through hoops anyway. 😝

Here is a prayer request that a lady named Sonya put on the Moebius Syndrome support group page on Facebook. I’m adding that you please pray for salvation for her & her family, as they are Mormons…
“Please pray for our family as we manage illness, stress and major decisions. Please pray for our safety, for guidance and for peace. Please pray for worries and fears to be hushed. Please put our name on the temple prayer roles or prayer lists for prayer groups wherever you may be. If you believe in fasting for the healing and comfort of others, please fast for us. We truly need you and the Lord more abundantly in our lives. Thank you!”

I heard at a WMU meeting that Salt Lake City is the least Christian of any city in our nation. Makes sense but I never considered that before.

It probably goes without saying, but prayers for my husband and office mates as they struggle through remainder of this day would be appreciated. Thank you.

Prayers for Carol as she begins the search for an assisted living place. Her social workers gave her a list of places closer to me (I guess my email worked), but Hollywood is still a possibility — since it looked like a decent place in a nice neighborhood, I could deal with that by getting one of the Fast-Trak responders for my car that would allow me to use the toll lanes bypassing a lot of the freeway traffic to get there.
And pray that she stays strong, too, in resisting attempts by her boyfriend to move in & share a room with him again in a facility he’s going to that’s also somewhat closer to where I am. She was stuck in that situation before and finally got out of it, but I’m worried she’ll succumb.

And prayers for another journalism friend who’s been in a convalescent facility for more than a year now due to Parkinson’s. I’ve felt guilty for not visiting more often as it’s close to me (I think last time I was there was before Christmas sometime), but he called again this week and I said I’d get by soon to see him again. It’s so sad, he’s incredibly unhappy there & has had a falling out with his family, which doesn’t help. He’s not a believer and I need to be bolder about sharing the gospel with him.

Skies darkened and it rained again. I just knew y’all would want to know. ♡
Earlier I saw reports of hail in the Atlanta area. I hope power did not go out at tax offices.

Dark skies & hail sound rather appropriate for tax day, Janice
Maybe some frogs, too?

Husband is having some health issues with drastic blood pressure drops. He normally has high blood pressure for which he takes meds. He will go to the walk-in clinic the first day our doctor is on call (appointments can take months to get)
