The only real improvements in lifestyle are medical and race relations (if we could keep race-baters like Obama and Sharpton quiet).
The other things, like computers, smartphones, etc. have serious downsides.
e.g. The placement of the GPS satellites have changed so many things. But if China or Iran were to take out the system, we would be cripple. Someday, they will shut down our electric grid.
