Tomorrow is the big day that our family (and you) have been anxiously awaiting for many years! Brian will defend his dissertation tomorrow at 2pm. He should be finished by 4 and by God’s grace will be Dr. Brian Muller.
Will you please pray for him? I would so appreciate it!
God has certainly carried our family through this process. Many times He’s used your encouragement, company and support. We could never adequately express how much we appreciate all your love and support.
Thank you in advance!
All our Love,
Becky
Brian is a good guy, a Christian and a deacon in Friendly Ave BC.
He is a school principal. chas
As I said on the Daily Thread, Mr. P is in quite a lot of pain with his back. To the point it is really effecting both of our lives (certainly not mine as much as his). We go to church with and I am in Bible Study with a well known and respected pain management specialist. I haven’t wanted to “trade on” that relationship, but last night I talked to him and showed him the test results on Mr. P’s back. At first he said get P to him as soon as possible, but then he read the results. He said first we have to get the back stabilized and THEN he can manage the pain. Right now P has VA coverage not private insurance. What we need is a referral from the VA to this doctor and this doctor can refer P to a specialist at Johns Hopkins who hopefully can fix the damage done by the previous surgeries, from there Dr. from church can manage the pain. Please pray that a way will open up for us to get all of this done.
As a side note, if we could get P to Johns Hopkins, he would be close to his oldest son. He could stay with them while he did his recovery and follow up. This maybe would give him time to help with getting treatment for the PTSD. A lot of things have to fall into place for this to happen. I forgot that another of the doctors also goes to church with us and works on the mental health aspect of chronic pain. They believe in fixing the source of pain, stopping it, or learning to live with it—not cover it up with drugs. http://nopaindr.com/
It is my dad’s birthday today. We thought we were going to celebrate one night last weekend. I ate one of his cookies in his honor. He loved sweets and my mom does not, so he learned to bake all kinds of things. He would even make apple pie from his own apples. He was very fussy about HE liked his baked goods. Brownies had to be almost burnt on the edges. He was quite proud of himself.
We are still in a sort of limbo here. Prayers still desired. I am praying for these requests as well.
Just making some word changes, probably. We’re still waiting to hear what day Stargazer will defend–the school was being coy; they want him to teach astronomy this semester and he keeps saying no.

I wrote out a long prayer over your request and Cheryl’s request from last night but it was lost in transmission. God heard it though.

We worship an efficient God who often brings two needs to one place for healing and his glory. Tears and prayers.
God is good.
I’ll even pray for this over rain . . .

Becky’s report:
“He passed but has revisions.”
I don’t know what that means, except hi isn’t finished.

They wanted him to add something to his paper, that’s all.
