Prayer Requests 12-12-14

Today is Friday, so don’t forget to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the young folks at the Nest.

Anyone else?

Psalm 5

¹Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.

Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

  1. Today is root canal day, but before that, husband and I are going up to visit my dad finally. Haven’t seen him in months due to complications every time we plan to get together. Prayer for the neighbor who will be watching the younger four and being available for the older five. Prayer for us in our travels (when we adopted we were told to never travel together). And prayer for me in trusting this new guy to not hurt my mouth…..thanks.

  2. Becca’s complaining her ear hurts, so we’re going to the doctor in a little bit. She just finished a round of antibiotics for an ear infection over the Thanksgiving holidays, so I’m hoping she won’t need to get back on.
I’m feeling grateful for a pediatrician who always works us in, especially before the weekend.

  3. Whoops, almost forgot to mention that I now have teachers for my class!! Just happened this week and I was waiting for it to be official. Two ladies, both teachers and both have small children so this is a real sacrifice on their part. Please join me in praying a blessing on them and their families. Also for health for them and their families.
That is part of the reason I mentioned that I had brain fog this week. They each came in for one day, in the midst of teaching and doing report cards, and I tried to tell them everything and had to ignore my class a bit.

  4. Root canal is over and done and visit with dad and stepmom went great. Husband is off to pick up the children.

If all of my visits to the dentist were as pain free, I would not have such a fear of dentists. But there is increasing pain so I hope they did not cap an abscess.

  5. Update on Dakotah…

“Kotah is doing well. We are rounding out week three here at [Cincinnati] Childrens. She is still unable to walk or stand unassisted, talking is difficult. She is still receiving her feeds from her NGtube. There are a couple of tests with extremely high numbers that they are looking into. She no longer needs the cannula to help her with oxygen. She’s currently being weened from the meds she was on in ICU. She’s a fighter and hopefully we will be home before Christmas. Christmas will be extra special this year. Thank you for all of your prayers, it meant the world to our family.”
