Praise: My editor is giving me both of my requested weeks off (not back to back, I’ll have to work a week in between) — first and third weeks in December. Yay. And boy, do I need the break. Of course, I’m working through the holidays (except for the actual days, unless I agree to do a holiday shift for OT). I basically just asked for the 3rd week of the month off, but then mentioned in the email that it would be “nic”e to get the first one off, too, but I realized that was a lot of time to take off so close together. I had originally hoped to snag that other week in November, but that ain’t happening due to deadlines.
I also finally connected with my GPs office and made my overdue appointment for a physical, which kicks off with blood work this Friday morning then the followup appointment about 2 weeks after that (pray for good results, I always worry & stress over these tests).
And I got my annual eye appointment made. AND my dental cleaning appointment is set. Still need to schedule the mammogram.
Now I just have to get all 3 animals in for needed checks with the veterinarian. I may take them in all together on one of my vacation days coming up, it might be easier that way since the vet’s office is a good 20 miles away.

Also pray that the out-of-pocket expense won’t be too horrible (though I know it won’t be small).
