I know it’s early, and I should’ve posted this yesterday, but…
We’re having Becca tested for learning disabilities this morning from 8-10. Please pray she doesn’t shut down and that it goes well. The guy administering the tests is a Christian psychologist with whom she has a very good relationship, so I’m hopeful. Thanks.
“R called E. He told her that he originally went to the hospital (ER, I assume) because he had a respiratory infection. Something they gave him caused him to have an allergic reaction, which he said sent him to ICU (that is possible). Then he asked to be transferred to the psych unit, to have his medications adjusted. Seems he’s been on some sort of psych meds since the time he was committed after that suicide threat.
“Praying he hears the wooing of the Holy Spirit, & finally surrenders himself to God.”
Since then we’ve learned that he did not voluntarily commit himself to the psych unit. The med that gave him the allergic reaction was a tranquilizer, given to him because he was, in Emily’s words, “freaking out” before or while they treated his illness. 😦
Still praying for God to do a mighty work in R’s life. I pray for him as if he were my son-in-law, because he is my grandson’s father. Also, being atheists, his own parents don’t pray for him, so he needs someone who does.
Thank you to Michelle, & anyone else who remembers him in prayer, for your prayers for R.
As for the man interested in buying a route, he & Lee have talked, & he does seem very interested. He & his wife would run it together, which would help cut down the time it takes to run it each day.
Now, of course, assuming the route sells soon (there’s another guy who may be interested, too), I’m praying for Lee to get a really good job, that will give him more time for adequate sleep as well as time with our little guy, & will pay enough to comfortably provide for this household. I’m praying for God to bless Lee with a job that is exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
KarenO, keep praying, never give up. Husband’s parents were saved on New Year’s eve as they went out to get more alcohol for the party. They made it to the car and were so convicted they turned their lives around and were such an amazing Godly couple who raised my Godly husband. Husband’s grandmother had been on her knees that New Year’s eve, praying as she always did, but with even more fervour that night.
Thanks to all who prayed for my request above. The testing went well. Becca was cooperative (I was worried she’d shut down). They were able to get through all the material scheduled for today. She has one more session scheduled for 11/25 from 8-10am. We’ll get a detailed report the first week of December. Hoping the results will enable us to help her academically.
