Today is Wednesday, so please remember to pray for the Gambia.
Anyone else have something to share?
Psalm 123
¹Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
3 Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.
Because of my Oswald Chambers blog posts, I’ve recently heard from a former drug addict in England (long story) and he’s begun reading a Bible. Please pray for Pete as he follows my direction and begins to read the Gospel of John. The oddest things happen when you try to follow God’s leading, right? 🙂
Prayer for the next few days at work — I’ve been assigned to write two (more) Zamperini stories for a special section we’re producing for the Rose Parade. I’d like the stories to shine most of the light on his spiritual conversion, making the point that it was that event (which he himself always pointed to) that made it story what it was. I’m trying to reach people who can provide the comments I need for that — I’m also reading his original, co-written autobiography for some added insight into that part of his journey.
My deadline is Thursday (yikes) but I’m hoping I can push it to Friday.
Because meanwhile, I also have 2 night meetings and other stories I need to write this week in between all of that.
I’m toying with the idea of taking a day trip, by myself, tomorrow. No one knows that yet, though. Prayers for wisdom. Thanks for previous and future prayers regarding my requests today.
After covering a 4-hour night school board meeting with hundreds of people in attendance — and having to write about what was literally a moving target on deadline as the “news” out of the meeting kept changing — I’m really tired & am about ready to run away from home with my dogs.
May God give wisdom to those elected yesterday throughout the nation, & save their souls.

Struggling today. Can’t say much more about the issue than that.
