DENVER (AP) — Republicans are taking a big lead in early voting in Colorado.
A report from the Secretary of State on Friday showed that 104,000 more Republicans than Democrats had cast their ballots as the state conducts its first major mail-in election.
Don’t count too early. That is before the dead and illegal vote comes in.
I still need to vote on Tuesday — of course, our state is basically a one-party state these days so the outcome here is predictable.
But it will be interesting to see what happens in the Senate. Still, remembering 2012, I’m a bit more wary of polls these days. 😉
And I’m not feeling particularly confident about the nation as a whole, unfortunately, no matter who wins or loses anymore. Something has changed … I hope it’s just me, but it feel like we’ve gone a few steps too far down several wrong-way roads in the last decade.
Then I remember that wonderful biblical phrase that appears so often when things look so dark … “But God …”

I’m afraid Donna is correct. We may have gone too far.
Someone said that we need a revival in this country.
I suspect it isn’t a revivalist or evangelist that we need. We need a prophet to turn us completely around. We can’t patch and bandage these wounds. We need amputations.
How can we undo the attitudes on abortion, same sex marriage, narcotics, and general spiritual carelessness?
And that doesn’t count the other unwise ways our country has gone,
“The proponents of ‘equality’ demand our inner assent. We are not to withhold our approval; disapproval is prohibited. … This is one campaign for rights that brooks no dissent. It lies within the authoritarian heart beating within contemporary liberalism. …”
Whatever is interesting, it isn’t the ebola woman riding a bicycle.

The reason Obama couldn’t get Tahmooressi out is because Mexico wouldn’t take four Guantanamo prisoners in exchange
