Chas, she is pretty busy with deputation work. With the chronic fatigue she gets pretty worn out, so she doesn’t come on the blog often but she does put updates on Facebook. Unfortunately, furlough for most missionaries isn’t much of a rest, as they have to travel from church to church.
Chas, you are free to be on fb as much as you want. My husband is not a regular, but will check once in awhile to see what may be new. Or he will just check out what I have on my page. At any rate, you don’t need to DO a lot with it. It sometimes may seem to nag you, though. 😉
Roscuro – I’ve always found it sad that missionaries on furlough can’t spend more time resting & being with family. I realize there’s a reason they need to visit the churches, but I still find it sad.
Thank You for this week of beautiful fall weather. Thank You for recoveries from illness, infections, and surgeries whether miraculous immediate cures or long processes. The healing all are ultimately generated through Your good gifts. I lift up Ajisuan for her need for energy to see her through her travels and sharing with various groups. Please supply her needs. Please also help those missionaries working in Africa who may be short handed and in need of help either by more staff or through financial backing. Please release an abundance of help in their times of need. Please help those in Africa who are suffering from ebola through personal illness or from death of loved ones. Please make a way to halt the spread of the disease. For those who practice Sharia burial traditions that spread the disease, please make them open to new ways to prepare the bodies of their deceased loved ones.
Lord, I pray for AJ and Cheryl and their daughter to have a wonderful vacation. Keep their kitties happy and well cared for in their absence. Please give the family memorable fun times with lots of laughter. Thank You for all A J does to make this blog special for so many.
Lord, I ask You to bless Jo as she learns more about ways to teach. Please give her Your guidance and insight into the best approach for each child’s learning style. Help her to feel comfortable with changes that can benefit. Help her to be willing to try something new and willing to search out what is needed when there are any learning delays or giftedness. Thank You for providing the supplies and ingenuity that Jo needs to make the most of her resources. May the Holy Spirit give her help in teaching the Bible both for the stories and the application of Your truth in their young lives. Thank You for the sweetness and goodness of children. Help them to be attentive to Jo ‘ lessons.
Lord, I continue to be tired. Please give me energy to accomplish more. Please continue helping my husband to remain smoke free. That seems like a miracle so far to me.
Speaking of Gambia, we haven’t seen Ajisuun lately.
