  1. Two or more gunmen attacked Parliament Hill in Ottawa, killing one of the guards at our National War Memorial. The first shooter is reported to have been killed by Parliament’s Sergeant at Arms – in official pictures, the Sgt. at Arms wears full ceremonial regalia, but he has proved it is not just a ceremonial position. They are looking for a second gunman and one other security officer has been wounded: http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/parliament-hill-attack-1-gunman-dead-after-soldier-shot-at-national-war-memorial-1.2808710. That is all that is known for certain right now.

The word terrorism is on everyone’s minds because a one soldier was killed and another badly hurt on Monday by a convert to Islam who ran them over with his car (he was later killed by police – CSIS was watching this man and his passport had been revoked as they thought he would try to join ISIS, but as they said, you can’t arrest someone for expressing radical views due to a little thing called freedom of speech); but there hasn’t been any confirmation that the attack on Parliament Hill is linked. ISIS did threaten Canada that if we got involved in Iraq, we would be attacked on our own shores; but, naturally, Parliament refused to be intimidated and some of our air force planes have been sent to run missions and special forces to support the Iraqi military. However, if it is a terrorist attack, getting in a panic would just play into their hands.
