Prayer Requests 9-27-14

Anyone have a request or praise to share?

Psalm 91

¹He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

  1. Heavenly Father,

    The morning light is a beautiful color. Thank You for the variety of colors You place before us for our enjoyment. Just considering the birds and their variety of colors, shapes, and morning songs is a daily blessing. Thank You for being so detail oriented in Your creation.

    Lord, our friend and sister in Christ, Kim, is still not feeling well. Also, she has annoyances from inconsiderate people, and she hurts still over this forced move. Please lift up her burdened spirit. Help her to find a moment to refocus on what is good in her life and praise You. The devil hates to hear us give praise when in our bleakest moments. Make him flee out of her presence and take with him annoyances and feelings of depression. I ask that You help with the move. May it go quickly and without dents, scratches, and breakage. Thank You for being with Kim as her insides are churning over their situation. Help her to envision the good future You have planned. May she grasp onto that hope and keep her vision on Your gifts of goodness.

    Lord, I continue lifting up the mother of Annms for healing of her afflictions. You know the need, Jehovah Rapha. Also, please keep others in the family on the quick road to recovery. May the unafflicted remain so. Thank You for Your glorious answers to the prayers posted here. You are brilliant beyond our ability to see in all Your glorious being.
    I praise You. In the name of Jesus may all mentioned here today be overcomers through Your strength in their times of need. Amen

  2. Off to take husband back to the airport. Seven hours of driving. Travel protection for him and us, but more importantly, that we would all travel for the glory of God. Thanks.

  3. I have some kind of a lump slowly growing on the back of my right ankle. Sometimes it causes a little discomfort when I walk on that foot, but not much, & not for long. I’ve been praying it would just go away on its own, because I dread thinking of possible medical bills.

    But it has grown some more, & the discomfort while walking (usually just for a bit after I’ve been sitting for a while or just getting up in the morning) is getting a little worse & more frequent. I know it is time to see my doctor. I will be calling his office tomorrow to make an appointment.

    Please pray that it is something simple, & that I don’t need any expensive tests or treatments. Thank you.

    (I finally told Lee about it today, even though I’ve been aware of it for a few months.)

  4. Now that I think about it more, the slight discomfort while walking is indeed more frequent than it was, & longer lasting, but still not really what I would call painful at all.

  5. Okay, we are home and children are tucked in for the night. We had a very nice time, other than leaving husband at the airport. Children and I stopped at several hikes along the way and one stop along the river for throwing rocks.

    Another prayer concern: husband was talking with a person in the know and was told that a child we had inquired about nearly four years ago is still being booted around in foster care. The parental rights are all terminated and the child has been in care since birth, when we first inquired. He is the younger brother of some of our children. We, of course, are willing and happy to take him, but it will be up to God to put him here if that is the plan. So sad that a child is in foster care four years with people delighted to take him and parental rights terminated. Thanks.
