Good Morning!

UPDATE!!!

I had an email exchange with Linda earlier, and I have in fact confirmed that her and Steve’s 35th Anniversary is today! 🙂

Congratulations Linda and Steve!!! 🙂

The newlyweds are enjoying the occasion with family, and in keeping with tradition. 🙂 Linda can fill in the details later.

So for the newlyweds, some music they both like.

  1. Good morning, Cheryl!

It’s still quiet at my house–though I expect Becca will be down shortly. We had a nice weekend. I got my car back Saturday–and it was a lot less than we were anticipating. Good sermon yesterday from a visiting minister, though I’m looking forward to our senior pastor being back in the pulpit in a few weeks.

Summer is quickly coming to a close–L. starts high school August 13th!

My sister and her family are safely back in Kerrville. I will see her August 6-10! Can’t wait!

  2. Morning all. Got a new student today, so I have 13. It was interesting. The school had asked if they wanted this child to move up to kinder and they just showed up. I said you need to go to the office first. I knew the decision had been made by the school, but we had not had a response from the family. So we quickly found a place and prepared things. The day was fine until we passed out folders for them to take home with some work and notes. One boy immediately began crying because he did not get the color he wanted!!

  3. Good morning everyone. I had 7 1/2 hours of uninterrupted sleep last night, so that feels good.

Good PianoGuys music to help me wake up even more. 🙂

Jo: “One boy immediately began crying because he did not get the color he wanted!!” Yep. Sounds familiar. 😉

Off to start my day. Have a good one!

  4. Good morning All,

Another fun filled day ahead. I need to go out and do my chores before the people get up at seven then it continues full speed ahead until eight in the evening when I can slow down and walk Jake. Swimming lessons, laundry, library, reading fascinating stories, telling exciting stories, redirecting, phoning for appointments, and on and on. I am planning for spaghetti for dinner but one never knows around here.

  5. My eyes are having difficulty reading the tiny print on this Smartphone.

When I first read AJ’s greeting, “Mornin’ ladies,” I thought it read “Morman ladies.” My thought was, WHAT?”

    Mouse, mouse in the house!
    Running this way and that.
    Watch out! She will pounce.
Like a Tigger she will trounce.
She will catch a mouse by the tail.
She thinks she’s caught a treasure.
Until she takes a bite. Meowee!
    Mouse lets go for today.
She knows that one will be back.
She’s quite attached, ready to play
as tomorrow joins on to today.

  6. I have a new hunch. It has happened in the past that AJ has been anonymous. Did you notice how last night, AJ’s comment about IP addresses and such, how he knew people’s identities and comment history, etc., came two minutes after Anon2’s remark? After that, there were no more Anons with the blue quilt square, and no more of AJ to be seen.

Methinks our fearless leader is messing with our minds. He is Anon2 😯

  7. Thank you, Cheryl. I did write the poem in a short time frame so it is unedited. Spending hours with a kitten/cat does things like that. Recently I was reading the poem about McCavity the cat aloud to Miss Bosley. She grew tired of him getting all of my attention so toward the end of it she made her displeasure known by going into her attack and play mode.

I have seen her chase her tail many times. I thought she was too old for that silliness until this past week she was playing in the bathtub chasing her tail. Highly inspirational.

  8. So, I was minding my own business yesterday, being a perfectly harmless and upstanding citizen. Then I come on here and find I have been accused of working in cahoots with Mumsee to create confusion and chaos. Well, The Real could tell you, it wasn’t me – this time…

  9. You can tell which anonymous is which this morning by the quilt blocks. Mumsee has her typical red and white block – the blog sight is identifying her. Michelle has the truly anonymous light blue and white quilt block, which signals that you neglected to enter any sign in information.

I guess it was God’s intervention! Thanks for the BDay congrats. I can’t believe I made it to the point where I can apply for social security! Please give my regards to all at the blog. I can never get on that thing! Because believe me, I would like to participate. Maybe I need better internet service. I’ve got the cheapest right now. Say Hi to all.

  11. I see I’m getting into trouble naming names of people I think are being anonymous troublemakers. 😉 So it’s not Roscuro or AJ.

I’m going back to my first guess — Kim. Go with your first instinct, right? And she hasn’t denied it, either. 😉

She also seems to be strangely missing from the conversation…at least the Kim who identifies herself as Kim is missing.

    It’s gotta be Kim.

(I’m trying to see how many times I can say Kim in one post.) 😉

  12. Kim would do it.
But I don’t know about the rattlesnake meat.
    I’ll bet you a nickel it’s Random.
However, Aj implied that Anonymous is female.
So? Maybe I’m out a nickel.

  13. OK, so I went back and checked the weekend thread. The “Go Boise!” lady is definitely the Anon at 8:47 pm on July 27.

Here is my theory: the early Anon comments in the weekend thread are from the first Anon — I think Michelle (on July 26 at 10:01 a.m. and 4:13 p.m.)?

The second Anon starts her run on July 27 at 8:47 and continues posting all the rest of the anonymous comments. So, in other words, the last six anonymous comments are by Mumsee, Mumsee, Mumsee, Mumsee, Mumsee, and…

    Go Boise!

    Is that right? 😉

  14. It’s like that board game — Clue, I think? — where you guess “It was [this person] in [that room] with [this weapon].

Anon2 was Mumsee in the Anonymous Room with the rattlesnake gun. 🙂

  15. That surely is confusing.
A rattlesnake as a weapon? Maybe I should try that.

So far, the squirrel is ahead.
For every solution, the squirrel has a fix.
    But I’m a Gamecock and the defining characteristic of a gamecock is that he doesn’t quit.;
So. I tried something else. Let’s see how long it takes him to defeat it.

  16. I did wonder why there was talk of more than one Anon, since it looked to me like they were all Mumsee. I didn’t know there was question of an earlier Anonymous.

  17. Well, after pulling almost 2000 pictures from our trail cam we had set up in the shop, we confirmed last night that both Karl and Knuki were alive and well and eating the cat food. This morning, husband found Karl in the field – he had been hit by a car and crawled there to die. At least we know what happened with this cat. 😦 Our road is not well travelled – silly cat.

  20. They were Barn Buddies from the SPCA. Cats that probably would not be adopted and would have to be put down are neutered and vaccinated and then offered to people with heated barns or shops where they can be fed and taken care of and work as mousers . We got them after our other cat disappeared – probably taken by coyotes.

  21. We have coyotes around here, too, and our neighbor’s cat disappeared some years ago — they figure it was the coyotes, also.

  23. I figured one of today’s anon posts was by Mumsee, since it had the 57 in it.

Sorry for the loss of the cat. We had that happen when we lived in an old farm house and fed the cats there. We tamed some of the new kittens and each child had one to name. I think only one survived his first year of life due to cars and coyotes.
