Prayer Requests 7-23-14

Today is Wednesday, so you know what that means. 🙂

Please remember the folks in Gambia.

Anyone else have something to share?

Psalm 25

¹Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.

Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

11 For thy name’s sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

12 What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

14 The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

15 Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.

18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

  1. Prayers for me this morning please. First, for the time to talk to my boss about several thing she did last week to my co workers. Since I’m the office manager, I believe I need to look out for those working with me. Second, for wisdom and tact and caring in what I need to say. Thirdly, that I will know when to stop talking and not make things worse.

And on that note, my name is apparently pencilled in on the job I’ve been hoping for that is in ministry and is only 20 minutes from my place. Please pray that God will open and close doors as He sees fit, as I do not want to be there if He doesn’t want me there.

    Thank you, all.

  2. Prayers, kare, from me, too.

Praise and thank you to all of you who prayed for me and my father. He is doing much better. In fact, he was well enough to argue with me. He loves to argue politics and there is much we disagree about. Strangely, it was nice to have him well enough to argue or discuss loudly. 🙂 He was the loud one, although one does learn how to raise one’s voice in their home or not be heard.

  3. Kathaleena, good news. And also praying Kare, I was just wondering what the latest news was about that job you’d wanted.

Prayer for my friend N who has been diagnosed with lymphoma — she goes in Friday for the biopsies & from there they’ll talk about a course of treatment. In the meantime, she’s having to give herself shots for the next couple days as a way to replace another medication she’s on for the heart, all in preparation for Friday’s procedure. Our associate pastor’s wife, who’s had some nursing background, was to go over last night to help her get the hang of it.

  5. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the beauty of white clouds against blue skies and how they sometimes appear to make picture for our amazement and entertainment.

I lift up the request mentioned by Kim for the St. Francis ministry. I ask for donors to share the vision and provide needed support. Thank You for the many who see a new way to help and step up to do their part. Please make the vision be fully funded.
Thank You for the healing of KKathleena’s dad. Babies that cry at birth and older men who can argue politics bring joy when heard. Sweet sounds enabled by You!

Lord, I lift up Jo. Please help her eyes to not feel too painful as her immune system fights off conjunctivitis. Help it not to spread to others. I pray the quints don’t have it, too. I ask that You provide needed meds to get rid of the bacteria or virus causing it. Maybe there is a natural remedy available. You know, Father God, where You have placed remedies in plants and who knows about such cures.

Lord, may the people in Gambia feel a special blessing touching their lives this day. May we have the birthing of new Brothers and Sisters in Christ in that land. Thank You for missionaries who act as spiritual midwives there. Bless Ajisuun in her needs this day. May she feel improvement in her health.

Lord, please continue to bless KKaren’s Lee in the ways You know he needs. Help him to feel a burst of energy and an uplifted spirit. I ask that Forrest be blessed today, too. May the spiritual hearts of his grandparents be known to him supernaturally if they are not allowed to speak Your words aloud into his life. Please help Emily and Chrissy to have softening hearts toward You and Jesus as they feel Your peace that passes understanding through a Christian resource. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  6. Heavenly Father,

I continue in intercession for Kare as she must address prickly issues at work. She needs Your wisdom, Your diplomacy, Your winsome remedy to calm the beast and raise up peace in the office battjeground. Also help her as she learns more about the ministry opportunity. Give her clear vision of what to do. Please.

I lift up N for her to feel Your constant presence. May she cling to the hope found in Your word for it does not disappoint. Keep her strong during her procedure. And give her Your peace that passes understanding. Do not let her fall into the grips of fear because that is not from You.

Help me Lord to know what to do about my blood pressure. Thank You that my blood work was good.

    In Jesus’name, Amen

  7. Thank you all, for praying. I think the discussion went well (at least for my part) but I still don’t think she understands what she has done and continues to do. There are always excuses and more excuses and, frankly, outright lies. But I told her how I felt and that I disagreed with one very specific thing, and we agreed to disagree. I think the conversation was productive and we ended the day on a good note.
