Certainly she can speak to this, herself, but my thinking is to pray that the holy spirit works in the hearts of the people and to pray for her as she ministers among them.
13 year old Shane is in brain surgery right now. Mom and son are both nervous, but see God’s hand at work. They’re in Phoenix, dad and the rest of the praying family in San Diego.
So much up in the air around here. The whole situation with the house selling blew up yesterday. The landlord is upset, the buyer is upset. They had wanted to do the home inspection yesterday for 4 hours. I had ask that they please do it while we were out of town. It wasn’t convenient for them, but yesterday wasn’t good for us after being out of town.
I know I can’t keep everyone happy but I also had conflict and will almost all ways avoid it at all costs—even if it cost me.
Thank You for the exceptional ways You bless us daily. We are given this wonderful place to develop Christian friendships and offer support to those in need. We are never alone for You are always with us, but sometimes it makes for a better day to have conversation with like-minded folks who treasure You with all their hearts, minds, and souls.
Please bless those in Gambia who are not yet fully acquainted with You, the Three-in-One, God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. May they receive words that open up their hearts, minds and souls to You. Do not keep them in darkness. Bring them into the light. Make their hearts beat for You above all else. I pray for the children of Gambia to be raised to know Jesus and how much He cares for them. Please send a fresh breeze of the Holy Spirit through the land to draw people unto Yourself. Bless Ajisuun in all her efforts to help the people there. Bless those she works with in ministry. Thank You for the refreshment You are giving her in the states. Please give her improvements in her health. Thank You for her spirit of blessing all within her realm of outreach here and in The Gambia.
Lord, I pray for Shane. May the surgery be a success, and the recovery quick and complete. Bless his family whether by his side praying or at their home praying. I ask for Your good favor to be upon them all. Keep them peaceful and confident of a good outcome. Please lift all their spirits with Your felt presence. May they recognize Your answers to their desperate prayers for Shane.
Please help Kim to continue to cope with ups and downs of her home situation. I ask that she can find peace in knowing You are working things for good for her family because she is a faithful believer and one who serves to meet the needs You place before her. Thank you for the provision of her husband, her new grandbaby, and her many friendships. I ask You to continue to bless her relationship with BG and to lessen any tensions with her ex. Thank You for gifting her with skills in the real estate market. I know she has helped many people in many ways over her years in the industry.
Thank You, Father God for the safety on the 4th. Please continue to keep our nation safe even as some in leadership appear to try to tear down and crumble what has been the nation we all love. Please keep those serving in the military safe from harm from enemy forces and terroristic groups. I ask for Your blessing to be upon Israel as it has been under fire from rockets. May their defense system continue to operate effectively and thwart enemy blasts. Bless those who are being called into duty to work in defense of the nation. I also pray for the persecuted Christians who daily are tortured or killed for standing strong in their belief in Jesus. May they feel a lightening of the meaness directed at their physical, mental and spiritual being. Keep them ever strong in the faith knowing that the physical body may be killed but eternal life can not be taken from them. I pray for those who are terrorists and tormentors to have no rest until they surrender to Jesus as Lord of their lives. Please save their souls from eternal damnation. Make them to realize the falseness of their beliefs that lead them to commit attrocities toward humans they should be acting in love toward. Thank You for paying attention to my prayers. I trust in Your goodness to shine through these situations. In the name of Jesus, Amen
UPDATE Shane is out of surgery. The surgeon said everything went as perfectly as it possibly could have. Shane’s hamartoma is (was) attached to his memory fibers, and detaching the hamartoma from those memory fibers is the goal. Short-term memory loss is the most reasonable, possible side effect, but it should be temporary. The connection point was very accessible, and that’s the best we could have hoped for.
Shane is coming out of anesthesia right now, and we should be able to see him before long. We won’t know the extent of the effect on his seizures until some time has passed, but we have every reason to hope for total cure. Thank you for all the prayers! We could still use them.
