Prayer Requests 6-18-14

Anyone have a request or praise they’d like to share?

And it’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for the Gambia.

Psalm 144

¹Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

Lord, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!

Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.

Bow thy heavens, O Lord, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.

Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;

Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.

10 It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.

11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:

12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:

13 That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:

14 That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.

15 Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.

  2. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for another God day. Thank You for letting us know in advance that You are the ultimate winner in all spiritual warfare. Sometimes in life and circumstances it might momentarily appear the evil one has won a battle. Yet You are able to turn it around to be in Your favor and apply it as a piece of Your master plan to bring truth, justice and love as our inheritance. Thank You that other things may fail, but Your word remains firm.

Lord, I pray for those who have conflicting viewpoints within families as to what constitutes sin in Your point of view. If something is legal but offensive in a family gathering, who is to give in? I think Your word speaks about such matters. Please help those who are struggling in such ways to look more deeply into Your word for Your ultimate divine instruction. Please do not let Christians in these circumstances be so unflexible as to lose a relationship over preferences.

Thank You for health improvements at the Nest. Please, may all who need medication have excellent tolerance without side effects and perfect results. Settle any who tend to get agitated. Help them all in their various work commitments.

    In Jesus’name, Amen

  3. Just heard from good friend that her MIL fell and broke her pelvis while visiting overseas. I think she is in her 90’s and has been quite able-bodied for many years. She is in Dublin hospital. Please pray she can recover.

  4. Praying. I hope she is not subject to those who will discriminate against a 90 yr. old. That is not a small problem. However, God is bigger than ANY problem.

  5. Heavenly Father,

I lift up The Gambia to You for a special blessing today. You know the needs of the people who live there as citizens, or as missionaries. Please keep them all strong mentally, physically and emotionally. I ask that each person would be given reason to have faith in Jesus Christ. Please, may they be drawn to him in an irresistible manner. Those who already believe, I pray will have a deepening of their faith. Please continue to bless Ajisuun while she is in her homeland.

Thank You for hearing prayers for The Gambia. Also I lift up all the Christians in various parts of Africa where there is religious persecution. Scatter the enemy that seeks to destroy or enslave. Lord, I cry out to You to help the innocent victims to escape from their captives. Please show Your strength and ability to help those in trouble. There is none like You who can accomplish what seems impossible. In Jesus’ name, I pray Your will be done, Amen
