Prayer Requests 6-2-14

Anyone have a request or praise to share?

Psalm 127

¹Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

  1. Prayers, please, for my eldest, L. She has been going through lots of drama with her best friend of nine months….They will be attending different high schools, so L’s plan was to just let the relationship quietly fizzle out once school is out this Friday. However, everything was forced to a head this weekend by the other girl, G., and they are officially no longer BFF’s. I usually think it takes two to tango, but the drama surrounding their relationship has all come from G. After speaking to some other moms, I’ve learned G. has quite the reputation for inciting drama, being extremely possessive and frequently jealous of her long string of BFF’s. L. didn’t want to end the relationship until school was dismissed because they have all the same friends and she didn’t want things to be awkward at lunch, etc. L. is having anxiety over all this, so prayers for peace would be appreciated.

Or until something else comes along.

  3. Update on Emily & R’s court date:

The judge approved the agreement they’d come up with a few weeks ago in the lawyer’s office. R can have Forrest from 4:00p.m. Wednesday to 1:30p.m. Thursday, & 4:00p.m. Friday to 4:00p.m. Saturday.

But the judge said they cannot waive child support. They will go back in three months (I don’t know why so long) to come up with the amount R will have to pay. He is now one very unhappy camper.

He now claims he’s going to sue for full custody. Of course, he just signed off on the agreement, so he’d have to come up with some really good reason. It is probably only an empty threat.

  4. Yup, Kim.

I didn’t have the whole story when I posted. The reason they are waiting three months is to give R time to find a full-time job.

  5. I would have to say that the Family Support division in my town blessed me over and over again. My attorney suggested that I get my support through them and it was so nice. Checks were from the DA not them and it was impersonal. They also added interest to the arrears, something I did not ask for, but was state law.
