Psalm 102
¹Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come unto thee.
2 Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
3 For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.
4 My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.
5 By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.
6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.
7 I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
8 Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping.
10 Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
11 My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.
12 But thou, O Lord, shall endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.
13 Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
14 For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.
15 So the heathen shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.
16 When the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
17 He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord.
19 For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth;
20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
21 To declare the name of the Lord in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
22 When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.
23 He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.
24 I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.
25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
27 But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
28 The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.
I put a late request on yesterdays thread that I just learned that my tenants of 8 years in California are leaving in mid June and no rent has come so far this month. Please pray that my home will rent quickly and that I will not lose any rent. I do not have much of a cushion as I have been paying extra on the mortgage each month.
Heavenly Father, You have given us abundant life and a new day to rejoice and be glad in and on top of that You give us heaven, saving the best for last. No wonder we look up when we consider heaven.
Lord, this morning I pray that You meet the needs od M, the brother of Annms who struggles. Help him to let the bitterness melt away. Help him to learn to give and receive grace. Sweeten his days with Your felt love and presence. I pray also for a good marriage for this couple in Ann’s family. And please give traveling mercies to all who will be traveling after this trip to see the wedding.
Abba, my dearest loving Father, please take good care of Jo as she has some unique needs at this time. Please quickly remove that skin rash that bothers her eyes. You know cause and remedy. Please give Jo the divine healing insight to know what to do about it. Also, her transportation issues continue. It is a time of testing her faith in Your provision to make a way. Please take her worry away and help her to pray each time she has a concern. And may it be the same with the renter’s situation. Please provide quickly and make a way of discounts for advertising. Help word of mouth to go far and bring in possible renters. Help in decision making about getting help as needed. Please provide honest and trustworthy help. Please grow Jo through these challenges so she can help others through similar challenges. You are so good to take care of Jo. May she realize that Jesus intercedes with You on her behalf, too.
Lord, I pray for all to go well for Ajisuun with her travels. Give her increased strength for the journey.
Lord, I pray for Mumsee and the Nest. Thank You that Mike will be home for a visit. Bless that time in special ways. Thank You for the increasing maturity level of the children that allows them to help in more cheerful ways at home and in the community. Please always give The Nest good relationships and favor with all the people they encounter. Help any overbearing people to keep silence when they long to push their way on Mumsee. Thank You for refining the needs and matching help. Thank You for the resourcefulness in life training that the Nest provides for these young ones. May each live up to their full potential and always follow Jesus all the days of their life.
Lord, You know the Sunday School craft I am trying to put together for Mothers’ Day. Give me insight as to the best way to make this new craft happen. May I have the right number of supplies for the number of children in attendance. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
This morning in my quiet time the Lord gave me Habbakuk 1:5 regarding my house. That I am to stand and see what He will do. This did not catch Him by surprise and He has a plan for my good.
I also realized that the problems I had with my van last night were confirmation that I am to get this new vehicle. I don’t have to worry that perhaps I should not have agreed to the purchase. It is a need and God also has that in His hands.
God is good.
