Prayer Requests 3-6-14

Anyone have a request or praise they’d like to share?

Psalm 41

¹Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

10 But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

11 By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

12 And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

13 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

  1. Okay, quick update on my husband’s partner and his wife. They are still separated, this is the couple we were praying for last year who had severe all day morning sickness, their baby is now 8 months old. They’ve been separated since last summer. He was in church with baby a few weeks ago, she was in church last Sunday AND she’s registered to come to our ladies’ retreat this weekend!

I request prayer for this precious couple and for me, as well, as I do not usually enjoy retreats, but I am going to go to make sure this young woman meets some mentoring young women who are closer to her in age as well as in her neighbourhood. Please pray for wisdom for me as to when to step in or just to fade into the background and that I will grow through this retreat as well. 🙂

Thank you all for your prayers.

  2. Praying, Kare.

I have several requests for our family today. 2nd Arrow has some leads on places to live in the area where she will be doing her internship (5 hours east of where she lives now). Today she’s traveling a couple hours in that direction, meeting up with my hubby, and from there they will continue on to the city of their destination.

Prayers first of all for their safety on the road, to and from and as they find their way around this large, relatively unfamiliar city. Also, that the visit will be fruitful, and that something will open up for her as far as living arrangements. She begins the internship Monday, April 7, but doesn’t get finished with her coursework in her present location until Friday, April 4, so she will have to do most of her moving that weekend if she doesn’t find a place to live before spring break, which is when she hopes she can move (about 2-3 weeks from now).

I also request prayers as I manage things on the homefront today. I woke up with a sore throat, and 5th Arrow is more restless/agitated than usual this morning and is going to need a lot of focused Mom time.

    Thanks.

  3. 1 pound, 9 ounce Shirsha Grace is entubed, surfacant sprayed and linked to every tube possible in the NiCU, but doing as well as can be expected. Grandma, my friend, is a 40 year Labor and Delivery nurse and while concerned about her granddaughter, is more concerned about the mom, Cara.

She came down with something initialized to HELLP–which Grandma tells me is the one type of laboring woman you never want to see because they’re so likely to die. Cara’s kidneys have been destroyed and while she’s getting better three days after delivery, is still in bad shape. She miscarried a year ago and the whole last year, culminating with a premature delivery, has devastated her emotionally.

So, please pray for these two young women. Grandma is very thankful.

  4. Heavenly Father,

The cares and burdens people know on earth are so numrrous and unending in variety. But You are greater still with Your supply of remedies and Your creative ability to make what is needed at any moment in time.

Lord, I lift up the tiny and frail babies like Cara,’s new daughter and the tiny boy Jackson. They are having a difficult start with a need for their bodily systems to fully develop outside of the womb. Please make known how much you care for these little ones and their concerned families. I ask for healing of the moms who suffer doubly as their bodies heL from stresses of pregnancy and emotional trials of not having a picture perfect birth and quick release from the hospital for mom and baby. Give them great bonding and extra special care from medical staff. Thank You for touching their lives with Your supernatural love.

I lift up 6 Arrows family to You today, too. Please supply the need of her dsughter for a good living arrangement. I ask that a loving church community can be found to meet her need for close friends and physical help if needed. Please keep dad and daughter safe as they travel into unknown neighborhoods. I pray for one of Your invisible force fields of protection to surround them. Help them to find that great location You are preparing to meet this daughter’s need. Also, I ask Your help to be with 6 Arrows as she meets the schooling responsibilities of this day. I ask for compliant learners who show no reluctance to do what needs doing. Help her to quickly get over the symptoms that are presenting the possibility of a cold.

Please give guidance to Kare as she goes on the adventure of the ladies’retreat. Bless her with discernment as to how best help her friend. I pray the friend will bond with others with whom she can share both her burden and her faith. You are acquainted fully with the needs. I ask for You to help this young lady during this troubled time. Bless her marriage if that is Your will. Resurrect what they may have counted as dead.

I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  5. Beautiful prayer, Janice. Thank you.

We’ve had a good day at home. 5th Arrow’s day has gone quite well — the issues this morning were very short-lived. And my sore throat went away after not too long a time, and I’ve felt good since.

Hubby just called and said they are on their way home now. About 3 hours of driving yet for hubby and about 2 for daughter after that. Continued prayers tonight for their safety on the return trip are appreciated.

There is more to be done to finalize what they accomplished today, and nothing is definite yet, but things sound fairly hopeful at this point. I don’t have a lot of details yet, as we spoke on the phone only briefly. I’ll find out more after hubby gets home.

Thank you for all your prayers.

  6. Hubby and daughter have arrived here safely. Daughter will spend the night here, and will travel the rest of the way tomorrow, as she does not have early morning classes on Fridays. Thanks so much for the prayer cover.
