Prayer Requests 3-5-14

Anyone have a request or praise to share?

And it’s Wednesday, so don’t forget the Gambia.

Psalm 40

¹I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.

Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest.

10 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.

11 Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.

12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.

13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me: O Lord, make haste to help me.

14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.

15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.

16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.

17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

  1. At church this morning a visitor asked for prayer for tiny premie baby Jackson and his family.

Also, my pastor’s daughter is expecting a large baby and was scheduled for c-section. Now will try for natural. Pray no complications, please.

  2. Janice – Emily gave birth “naturally” (no drugs or such), & Forrest was 9lbs. 9oz. She did fine. Saying a prayer this young lady will have a healthy delivery, too.

  3. Heavenly Father,

It’s a beautiful blue sky day with spring creeping in. Thank You Thank You that the two plants I never got planted last year that looked so dead that I was going to throw them away are now showing new growth. We truly had counted them as dead, so You have surprised us with this plant resurrection.

Lord, I pray for those who are sick and having a rough time. Husband threw up this morning. Please help him to quickly be done with illness. Please help Annms while the virus has her family suffering. Others on the blog ay feel pain or discomfort. I ask that You would give relief. Help Cheryl’s toe to get back to feeling no pain.

Abba, as Our good and all knowing Father, I ask a special blessing to be upon the whole situation surrounding Emily and Forrest. You know any potential dangers so I beg for Your diligent protection. I pray the serving of papers and court date can be processed in a timely manner. Lord, please help Emily to see the truth in Jesus and show her how to put her trust in You. I pray You will be an anchor for her through these storms of life. Please give peace that passes understanding again through another time of waiting.

Lord, I also lift up Kim’s husband’s Marine son. May he recieve wise council from a Chaplain. I think it must be difficult to be in the military these days with such a shifting of rules thst have worked so well in the past. I pray for safety for this young man as he addresses his issues that are affecting him.

Thank You for the rain in CA. You are ever so generous in Your provision. In Jesus’name, Amen

Please also bless the missionaries rreaching out to the deaf communities throughout the world with the Bible in their native sign languages. Lord, You are aware of the personal needs of each of these specially chosen ones. And I include Annms’s sister and huzband. Thank You for the daily opportunities You place before each. 5. We seem to be the picture of health now. Thanks for praying. Still some residual coughing and we do not want what annms and Janice have been enduring.

As far as the firewood goes, we are glad it did not work out. Husband stopped at a couple of places for directions as what he was given was not accurate and when they heard where he was headed, without hearing any of the details, they all told him to be careful, to be very careful. When he got home and finally did reach somebody at the sheriff dept, they checked into it and called him back to let him know he was not to go up there without the protection of deputies. God’s provision once again. We thought it very strange to be sent to the place where the stolen wood was taken by the perpetrator, his home, without any further instruction.

  6. Something heavy fell over the other evening, & somehow missed landing on the two people who were right below it. It landed off to the side, & that just doesn’t seem probable. I kept saying, “Thank You, Jesus!” after that, because someone could have been hurt bad.
