Prayer Requests 3-1-14

Anyone have a request or praise to share?

Psalm 37:1-27

¹Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.

18 The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

  1. I’m a little shook as the school was robbed today while I was there and I finally noticed and called security. Need to focus on the blessings – I was and am safe and only things were taken.

  2. I love to take those silly tests on FB about which this or that are you. Today I was feeling like a failure as a mother and I took the Which Biblical Heroine Are You test. I got Mary, the mother of Jesus….so I can’t be all bad can I?

Unfailingly kind and gentle, most people don’t realize your vast inner strength at first. You’re calm and sensible even in the most difficult times and your family and friends rely on you for your support. You’re always there to nudge people in the right direction and offer unconditional love during tough times. You find joy in life’s simple pleasures and the company of loved ones and you can light up a room just by walking into it. Quiet and caring, you make everyone you meet want to be a better person

Now if only I could be that person described above.

  3. Kim, I got Mary, too, which made me laugh considering how my Catholic friends revere her so much. Another friend got Abigail.

Jo, so sorry about the school robbery but so grateful you are ok! Did you see them? A friend’s and my apartment was broken into once (we were both gone at work) and it was the creepiest feeling to see all your stuff dumped all over (not that my bedroom didn’t normally look sort of like that, but that’s another story).

We didn’t have much, of course, but they took our high school rings. 😦

I didn’t take the test. I was afraid of what the result might be. 🙂

  7. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the days when things go right and peace seems to fill the home. It is Your felt presence that makes the good difference in our lives. It is the feeling of regaining strength after an illness. Lord, I pray You will soon let that be the feeling for Mumsee and all at the Nest. They have had an abundance of virus bugs to dal with this season. Help them to full recovery and grester resistence to future illness. I pray You will give them the help they need so all can get enough rest and not be overburdened in any way. Please help Mumsee and Mike as they make arrangements to allow for his new employment. I pray his medical regimen will be successful in keeping him in top form. Please strengthen the faith in all family members as they pull the load together to make life better for all at the Nest.

  8. Prayer request for Cara and unborn child. Baby is 26 weeks, Cara has serious pre-eclampsia, has been under observation 9 days. Docs want to do c-section; she’s begged for a natural delivery. They’re letting her try–but whatever method they’re using will take up to three days (I obviously am missing something here from my prayer pal). Mom has low platelet counts, low blood pressure and the kidneys are now having trouble. Grandma is an OB nurse and very concerned. Thanks.
