Prayer Requests 2-17-14

Who would like to share a request or praise with us today?

Psalm 25

¹Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.

Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

11 For thy name’s sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

12 What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

14 The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

15 Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.

18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

  1. No moisture in the forecast for a week. Even the non-believers are getting uneasy. Someone wrote to the paper today demanding the government start seeding the clouds.

I think it’s easier to ask God for rain, myself. Please.

  3. Pray for my disabled friend C who wound up in emergency surgery yesterday for a strangled intestine. She’s awake and I talked to her this morning by phone, I need to try to get in touch with her brother back east though.

  4. Lee called earlier, telling me we need to pray for someone to help him on his toughest days – Mondays, Thursdays, & Saturdays – when Emily starts school in March. He can’t pay much, which may be a problem, but he really needs the help on those days. (Otherwise, those days turn into 14- or 15-hour days for him.)

  5. Praying.

Please pray for my husband’s co-worker. Separated from his wife with an 8 month old cutie pie son. Husband is trying to mentor him. He came to church yesterday, which was a nice surprise for us. We didn’t think he would follow through. Prayers for my husband, as well, as he seeks to influence this young man.

  6. Heavenly Father,

As I read again through the prayer listing here and see more added my heart aches over the many needs mentioned. So very much need and this is just a tiny crumb of the needs You hear about worldwide. You know before we ask, but You want to hear our concern and know that what breaks Your heart breaks ours, too. So we meet with You through Jesus in the throne room knowing we are always welcome. Please provide for what has been mentioned on this prayer thread. I pray for the needs for salvation of lost loved ones. Lord, I lift up those who are struggling with heavy work loads that You would give solutions for their needs Lord, I pray for those who are having relationship conflicts. May peace make a permanent root in their midst. Thank You for quick repair and recovery from winter sports injuries. I lift up all who are feeling pain, stress, worry over finances, worry over what to do next and worry over medical conditions of loved ones. It’s so late and I am trying to sleep, but a cough keeps me awake. I pray for relief from the cough. Thank You for moving mountains and molehills in Jesus’ name, Amen
