Prayer Requests 1-7-14

Anyone have a request or praise to share today?

Psalm 139:1-14

¹O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.

Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.

Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

  1. I love, love, love that Psalm.

It has been such a crazy time lately with son home from school, new kitten, vacation and the extremely cold weather. Please pray I can figure out how to have better time management. Also, I need to work on a household budget. And I need to set priorities with writing projects. I need to do laundry but the dryer is in our outside utility room and I won’t use it when temps are cold. You know how laundry piles up over a vacation? I know these are minor difficulties, but general prayer would be appreciated for me to get back on track. Thanks.

  2. Apparently that mom in the car accident got a broken neck from it but was not treated. She was more concerned with her son, who is still on life support.

  3. Cheryl, to answer your question on my prayer request from yesterday, yes, they do know the amount. The insurance company says it is more than the vehicle’s booked worth, but it is too little to get another comparable minivan. They might pick up a small used car with the amount, but my mother has rheumatoid arthritis, which makes it hard to get in and out of small vehicles.
