Prayer Requests 12-6-13

Who has a request or praise to share today?

Psalm 108

¹O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.

God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;

Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.

10 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

11 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?

12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

  1. KarenO, how is your knee today?
    Mumsee, how is son’s arm?
    Please continue to pray for my Uncle John. He had a tube put into his stomach so he can be fed. He was in good spirits after the surgery and my aunt was surprised that he was able to get up shortly after and transfer himself from the stretcher to his bed. We are so thankful that they know and love Jesus and have that comfort and peace that comes from Him alone. I know everyone in that hospital will be introduced to Jesus through all this. That’s the gift God has given to John. He and my aunt planted a church in Ukraine and started New Hope Centre there which incorporates family homes and trade schools for orphans when they age out of the orphanages at 16 and are basically just put out on the streets.

  2. Kim – These scriptures help me when I’m feeling that way…

    “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:6-7, NKJV)

    “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:6-7, NKJV)

    The Amplified Bible states verse 7 this way, “Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.”

    Kare – My knee is still hurting when I walk, but it is getting better, thank you.

  3. Love those scriptures. Solid ground to stand firmly upon.

    I need prayer for how to handle something which I may have made an error on regarding submission of my children’s picturebook. Not sure where to seek advice.
    Also, not sure if illustrator is up for doing the work, so need to make decisions regarding that.

    Prayers for those who posted above. I was thinking earlier today how I can go the route of anxious feelings or the route of trusting God. I resolved to trust God.
