Prayer Requests 11-27-13

Who has a request or praise to share?

Or if you prefer, share something you’re thankful to the Lord for.

And it’s Wednesday, so don’t forget the folks in Gambia. 🙂

Psalm 100

¹Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

  1. Hubby got a call yesterday telling him he had to fly to New York on Thanksgiving day. We are very disappointed. I know he is lucky to have any job that puts catsups on the table in this environment but all the traveling is not good for his health or our family life, so I’m asking for prayer that he can find a new job that allows him to stay home with us a little more.

  2. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for this day which is pregnant with food fixings for tomorrow’s feast. I pray for wellness and stamina for those who may feel burdened by the extra work and by the hosting of agitated personalities. Please bring peace into the table settings of tomorrow. May harmony flow from your hands into households which in the past have only sounded of dissonance. Please help those who have addictions to alcohol and drugs or even smoking to not go overboard in any manner and spoil the holidays for their families. I pray You will be honored by prayers of thankfulness for Your provisions and many blessings. I pray no travelers are stranded by the bad weather. Please keep our nation safe from terrorist activities. And help Israel to stay safe in these perilous times.

Lord, I lift up missionaries in the Gambia that You would help them to be victorious over anything that tries to defeat them in any manner and keep them from being effective. .If illness threatens I pray You will squelch it, if language barriers or customs are a stumbling block, I pray You will break down the obstacles. Lord, if they need supplies, I pray You will help them find new sources. Keep them safe from bad weather and any form of crime. Please give them peace within their midst at work and at home. I pray You will do the same for all the missionaries previously mentioned on this site.

Abba, I am sorry to hear that Kbells husband is being called to go out of town tomorrow. You know the details and if it is possible I pray there would be a change of the employer’s plans so he does not have to leave his family on Thanksgiving. Also, I pray You will make a way for him to have employment that will give him lots more time at hime with the family. You know how important dads are to a family. This request seems like it must be according to your will. That being the case I pray You will find favor with our prayers about this. Please may they have a good Thanksgiving even if he must be away for tomorrow.

Please be with all who must work tomorrow who would rather be home with their family.
Please make for a good Thanksgiving for those like our son who will be staying at their college campus and celebrating without their immediate family for the first time..

Thank You for being our awesome God to Whom we can give our praise and adoration. In the blessed name of Jesus, Amen

  3. Please continue to pray for peace here and that the fighting will end. I heard about fighting yesterday and boldly faced in that direction and raised my arms and asked God to stop them in their tracks in the name of Jesus. (you have to realize this is not like me) I was at auto shop and then walked back to school praying as I went. Very soon we had torrential rain. It came down so hard that I wanted to plug my ears in the weight room with its tin, uncovered roof.
