Husband won’t get his results until Monday afternoon. The pain is now in both hands with swelling in both. I am concerned about heart attack but I am not a doctor.
You are bringing another day down to the finish line. Thank You for another day of peace in our nation where people could enjoy the college football games and being outside some before the extremes of winter are upon us.
I ask You now Father God to be especially giving Your best healing care to K’s father and to Mumsee’s husband. Whatever is creating the distress in their bodily systems I pray You will set it aright. I ask that they be comfortable in their states of affliction. Please let them have the best doctors who can adequately address what is wrong and prescribe proper medications and procedures if needed. Only You know the extent of what is wrong and how to correct it. Please, Abba, You know how much these fathers are loved and how it hurts to see them suffer. May they both be feeling better by the a.m. Thank you for giving peace and rest for those who are concerned. I pray they will look to Jesus to share their burden. In His name, Amen
I would like to ask all of you who pray to please remember to keep my husband and me and our marriage in your prayers. We just seem to be in a very tough season right now. Thank you.
I continue to lift up 6 Arrows and her husband. You have seen how they are at times feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities and their commitment to each other and family. Please help 6 Arrows to discern how best to accomplish her goals and not leave any of her family feeling neglected. Thank You for touching this family with Your divine guidance. Help them to set reasonable goals.
Please pray for my national aide, Wendy. She has a problem with her eye. She went to our clinic and they gave her a referral to the eye doctor in Goroka, a couple of hours away. She is going to Goroka today and will try to see the doctor tomorrow. However she does not know if she will be able to get an appointment. So it may be a few days until she is able to return.
I lift up Jo’s helper, Wendy, to You for that need regarding her eye. She must be feeling so concerned about needing quick and accurate diagnosis so the problem will not do permanent damage. Please relieve any anxiety that she feels. May she rest knowing that You will take care of her no matter what. I pray also that You will give miracles along the way, opening up special pathways for her that will lead to her healing. Please, may she encounter Your supernatural divine connections so she will be witness to You at work in her life. May she have opportunity to give testimony of Your awesome power and intervention to help in troubled times.
I also again lift up Idaho Mike to You for a Jesus touch of healing throughout the early morning hours. Please strengthen him and give him stamina to deal with what is causing his symptoms. We put our faith in You to bring him to good health. In Jesus’name, Amen
6 Arrows – As hard as it is, keep in mind that this is indeed a season in your life. If the two of you are committed to Jesus & to your marriage, you will get through this, & your marriage will be stronger.
Lee & I have been married for 27 & 1/2 years now. As we were approaching our 25th anniversary a couple years ago, things were quite tense between us. More than once at that time I bitterly wondered what would be the point of celebrating our 25th.
I don’t know what happened to change things – other than God’s working in our hearts – but now we are closer than ever. Hang in there, submit yourself & your feelings to God, & He will work this out for you.
mumsee, I wondered also about some sort of allergic reaction to something.
Pray for my friend N, an older woman I take to church. She called to say she was staying in today, just not feeling that with it this morning. She’s been feeling low of late (more psychological I think), so I’m somewhat concerned. I think she tends to feel very burdened with life at times, everyday things seem to overwhelm her of late. She lives alone but has several close church friends who keep up with her.
Thank you for your prayer, Janice. I appreciate that you write them out so often. They really bless me.
Karen, I appreciate your thoughts. Yes, we are both committed to Jesus and to our marriage. Those things are huge, and your encouragement is a great reminder to focus on that, and let some of the lesser things go. It is very easy for me to look more at the negatives than the positives. We seem to be getting older and crabbier and less tolerant of each other’s differences and shortcomings, and I honestly was wondering why, after 27 years of marriage, things seem to be getting harder rather than easier.
I think maybe God is growing us in ways we don’t understand yet, and we’re having “growing pains” in the process. Or something like that. Anyway, that was a thought that occurred to me in the middle of my tears last night.
Glad to hear you and Lee experienced something like that and came out closer than ever on the other side of it. That is a great encouragement to me, and you are right that God works these things out. (Romans 8:28.) I need to be patient with the time He spends pruning and refining me as He works His will in our lives. He is faithful.
Just found out my dad has been in the hospital all week. Would appreciate prayers.
