Thank You for another day when we can be thankful for knowing You care for us and never leave us alone in our troubles. Some are greatly troubled, especially in Oklahoma, because a beloved son has died in a plane crash. Please comfort those who are processing this totally unexpected grief. May they know joy in the midst of sorrow as they consider their son’s new home in heaven. May the family and friends and the funeral service be a strong witness of how Jesus has overcome that old enemy, death.
Abba, I also continue in lifting up 6 Arrows, Help her to feel comforted each day to know she has friends here who do understand that she has a full life with great responsibility. May she feel espeecially loved by her husband who takes seriously his role as the leader of their family. Thank You that he sets reasonable boundaries to guard their precious time. I pray You will help 6 Arrows be creative in limiting her computer time. Please provide paper catalogs of homeschool curriculums for her to review before she goes online to research the best. Lord, You know how You blessed my son and I with the used curriculum fairs. It was a wonderful yearly treat to see what was out there and it gave my son a chance to be in on the selection. You hVe a multitude of alternatives to computer usage for 6 Arrows. Please give her increasing wisdom in this area.
I pray in the name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus. Amen
“Your worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God’s grace. And your best days are never so good that you are beyond the need of God’s grace… Pharisee-type believers unconsciously think they have earned God’s blessing through their behavior. Guilt-laden believers are quite sure they have forfeited God’s blessing through their lack of discipline or their disobedience. Both have forgotten the meaning of grace because they have moved away from the gospel and have slipped into a performance relationship with God.” – Jerry Bridges
Thank you for that prayer, Janice. I really appreciated this: “Thank You that he sets reasonable boundaries to guard their precious time.”
Yes, that is such an important reminder to me to be thankful for that, and not to chafe under what my flesh likes to tell me is a restriction. That was very needful and a blessing for me to read today.
Donna, that’s a great quote. I have a little notebook where I write down quotes and other things I come across that really speak to me. This one made it into the notebook today. Thank you.
All of you reading here and praying, thank you for lifting me up. It is helping.
I covet your prayers today.
